"Excellent value and friendly service. The rooms are in fair condition and the hotel is slightly tired but cannot fault it for value. Most importantly clean and friendly. "

"Before booking, we had been very confused as to whether we would be able to have an evening meeal on a Sunday night - the hotel website suggests not. We phoned them to be told we could, and in the event we had a splendid dinner in the fairly new-looking conservatory area. Service was superb, including immediate replacement of non-working salt and pepper mills. Breakfast was also great. Our room was very comfortable, albeit a little too warm overnight until we opened the window, at which point it was unavoidably gusty, thanks to the strong wind. Only minus point - no soap in the bathroom; we didn't say anything about this as we had some of our own. "
