Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. location was excellent with option of comfortable lounges by the big pool or on the beach. short walk to nearby restaurants and shops. Staff throughout the resort were friendly and accommodating. Marvelous evening entertainment by the pool bar with a master violinist. Adults only also a big bonus. This was our favourite resort in 3 weeks of island hopping through Greece

Wonderful hotel stay.
Crete is a great vacation spot, lots of choices for supper and with a car great day spots for all time great beaches. Thalassa beach resort is one of those great hotels that fit in the right spot of the Chania area.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, great selection and even prosecco! Lovely pool area with loungers, fresh fruit in the mornings and the sunset cocktails served by Manos were great. We were dissapointed by our room which was an internal room which was not obvious during the booking process. It got very warm and was unpleasant to not be able to open a window and let fresh air in. We had been looking forward to sitting on our balcony enjoying a glass of wine but it's not quite the same when it's inside.

The staff are superb and go out of their way to accommodate you with a smile. Unfortunately some of the gloss came off for us as we were put in room 315 which was dreadful. It is an inside room right above a 24hr reception and near the kitchen. It has no natural light or windows. When you open the balcony you hear every conversation, every phone ring, the kitchen preparing the breakfast and people in the lobby. The curtains in the room also don’t block out the 24 hour lit reception so be prepared to sleep very little if you get this room. I complained immediately and asked for a room change but the hotel was fully booked and they could not accommodate me for a few days and even then we would have had to move a total 3 times to get the room type we paid for. I gave feedback to the general manager at the end of our stay and as all the staff she was really wonderful. She said they were aware this wasn’t the best of rooms and would try to get it restricted so that it couldn’t be booked. She gave us some complimentary drinks and a some Greek goodies to take home which was appreciated. For me sleep is important as well as comfort. Had we known this is the room we would have received I can honestly say we would have selected another hotel. Please note that should we have had a decent room this would have thumbs up all around.

View from our sea view room was fantastic. Room was comfortable and housekeeping ladies were friendly. All staff at the resort was very friendly and greated you daily.The beach was fantastic and it was nice that they had an "Easy access to the sea" sign with an arrow as other areas have large rocks. The free buffet breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food. The only two things that we didn't like.... 1) pool water was cold 2) the hot tub was not a hot tub, it was a cool tub, with cold water running through the jets. Why have that? If you wanted to cool off, jump into the cold pool.!

This hotel was fabulous ! We stayed one week here and would definitely recommend . It’s close to everything and just a 20 minute cab ride to Old Town. The service was exceptional!

Well done Thalassa Beach Resort!
Our stay at Thalassa Beach Resort was excellent! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffets were very well stocked and a good variety of Greek food selections. The facilty was clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Nice stay
Nice hotel on the beach, great location for little bars and restaurants with plenty to choose from. Rooms good size, comfy beds shower is over the bath which i'm not bothered for. Breakfast choice is ok, more than enough choice really from meats cheese, usual omelette set up to fruit and bread options. The buffet is still self service you just must wear your mask and plastic gloves which are provided. Nice pool with swim up bar, most of the sun lounges are in the shade come mid afternoon which is not a good point as the others are on the grass we used the beach most days. However that said the loungers are very comfy with good padded cushions. Just 1 point I wish hotels would consider we were on a late flight home so just needed somewhere clean for a quick shower, only option was extended check out at 40€ or use the shower in the toilets by the pool. Should the toilets by the pool have been a bit cleaner and better set out it would be an ok option but not the cleanest and very dimley lit. Overall a nice stay.

Service at the pool and the meal at the restaurant were great. Really enjoyed access to the beach and the comfortable chaise lounges provided. Booking the gym was next to impossible, the covid "crazyness" when everyone is at least double vaxxed seemed out of proportion.

The resort was so relaxing and well organized to spend a vacation in. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The staff is so helpful with any questions or suggestions I needed. They went above and beyond and I enjoyed my stay fully. The room was spectacularly furnished and clean. I would go back again in the future for a relaxing time. We really enjoyed staying here for our short trip to Crete at the end of our honeymoon to Greece. The pool was nice and so was the bar. Our room was a junior suite with an ocean view. The location is great for an easy taxi or bus ride into Chania. The front desk staff was helpful with recommendations on where to go and explore the nearby area. We were able to rent a car and had easy parking right out front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was tasty with many options and they even gave us a box to go when we had to leave on an early flight.

The best, awesome hotel in the beach.
What an awesome stay, didn't want to leave. The hotel is right on the beach with a beautiful pool too. Every worker was exceptional. Always a smile and a complement. My room was clean and steps from the pool. Excellent breakfast and 5 star dinners. Very clean hotel. Manos at the pool bar was the best if all. You made our days and evenings enjoyable. Nice locations and the best is great. However the pool and the view in the back is not what the picture represent. It’s a lot smaller than it looks. Great breakfast variety and great access to the beach.

Excellent hotel, stayed in one of the mini suites, quite spacious, bath not just a shower in the bathroom; lovely view from balcony. Really good breakfast buffet. Helpful, friendly staff. Bus stop for Chania just across the road from the hotel. Plenty of local tavernas within walking distance
