It was exciting to arrive at this hotel but disappointing to walk into the hotel room. They maintain lots of good reviews, but I personally disagree with current guest ratings. When I opened my room, I had the impression of 1-2 star hotel room.

It was so amazing stay in Sono Calm. The room is spacious with 2 double bed, great ocean view, the location of the hotel is very convenient and the staff were very friendly. Would like to stay again and highly recommend.

The bad: The room was darker and older than pictures. No microwave, tea, coffee or bottle water, cutlery was uncleaned and non stick pan was scratched lots. We booked a suite which came with a double bed only and some bedding for floor sleeping. The onsuite bathroom was smelled of mould, so unbearable that we shut the door and didn’t use it. No toiletries except big bottle of shampoo/bodywash. No standard size bath towels only 5 hand towel size were given and they don’t have bigger towels at all. No sitting or the table on the balcony which was a shame. Fridge was off (maybe due to low season). One of the light was flickering and then dead. The good: the Italian restaurant was decent priced and quality, good breakfast with small selection of bakery so kids can get some if not keen on breakfast option. Big supermarket or convenient store for self cooking. Coin laundry room was handy. Staff was good trying to accomodate and response to my queries within the hotel limitations.

This was our third family stay in the Sono Calm. We rented 2 rooms for 4 nights for 6 family members. Service and maintenance has come way down since our last stay about 8 months ago. Management claims Covid 19 as an excuse, but the fact remains that they decided to close most restaurants at the hotel, including the swimming pools, sauna, gym, and other public areas which ruined our vacation. Hotel opened all these areas during the more serious Covid 19 months in July, August, and early part of Sept., but as soon as it hit the "Off seson" during our stay, they shut these areas down. I can only guess that less customers meant shutting these places down to save money... It's a shame... Also be aware that the hotel has a policy to allow only 1 very small towel per guest at each room. If you request additional, they will charge the room ! Also during our 4 nights stay, they only allowed 1 cleaning per room. I complained about this to the front desk, but I was told this was their "policy". Not many things to do at the hotel since they decided to shut down most places inside the hotel. Not much to do outside within walking distance either. We did enjoy the " yacht" ride for 45 minutes, and the hotel has a very nice walking trail along the ocean which is connected to the hotel. Most hotel staff were friendly. Geoje is a very nice area. I would seriously consider other hotels next time when I visit Geoje as long as Sono Calm decides to continue shutting down public areas.

The website said there was both an outdoor and indoor pool, although not open Monday-Thursday. We came on a Friday to Saturday, but no pool was available. It was set to open at July 1st, which is not mentioned here. So the information is very misleading.

Hotel was nice and our view was good overlooking the park. Only comment is the limited amount of elevators for the number of guests. Had to wait 20 minutes for the elevator to get coffee.

Easy check-in, we had a family of five in a two bedroom condo, but only one bed. One room is Korean style, sleep on the floor. Very nice view, livingroom with balcony and kitchen that comes with kitchenwares. Several restaurants and cafes right outside the resort within a few minutes of walking distance. Very nice walking/running path, boardwalk along the coast is nearby. Waterpark and spa entrance is not included with regular room rate. I would recommend this place to my friends.

amazing location. Close to Haegumgang and Oedo. We enjoyed the water park attached. The water park is not included in the hotel fee but you get 35% off.

The hotel with no bath towel.
Only provide hand towel. extra hand towel cost ₩500. They do not have bath towels? It's hard to believe. For breakfast you must pay by cash or credit card in advance and can't charge to your room. Most unfriendly hotel ever stayed, never seen one smiling staff during two night stay.

This is actually not a hotel but a resort / service apartment complex. The rooms was during my stay of 3 nights not cleaned, not made up or any of the four hand towels replaced. Yes, hand towels only, not bath towels were available. Nice breakfast (choice in food was magnificent) and good bed with nice hotel surroundings that's saving the overall impressions.

Could be a really great resort !
We had 3 nights in a family room , as we only had the choice of that or a suite room on the Expedia website. The resort has more choices but is only available on the official Korean website. Our room had a lovely deck to enjoy the view , however there was no out door furniture to be able to sit & a sign saying not to remove the chairs from inside . The room was comfortable but not nearly enough shelving or a luggage stand to put your bags & gear. The big problem with the room was the hotel do not offer towels !!!!! you have to pay $2 if you want to dry yourself after a shower !! & then the towel you pay $2 for is a hand towel . Also our room did not get serviced once while we stayed , not even the rubbish collected . You can't call yourself a 5 star hotel & not give your guests towels !!! FOR FREE . The resort has a water park & a spa, which if you want to visit is not included in your room rate. We ate at 2 of the 3 restaurants the resort offers & were very good !! the service & food was excellent ! The staff were very keen to encourage more westerners to visit. I hope the management of the hotel will help many more western guests enjoy there stay by detailing clearer information about the room & resort facilities .

소노캄은 잘 알려진 리조트이니만큼 긴 말 필요없죠. 주차 편하고 객실 넓고 편의시설 잘 구비되어 있고 사우나와 워터파크 시설도 좋습니다.
