Lovely hotel. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and made me feel very welcome. Well sized room with good selection of complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries. Quality robe provided in bathroom. Bathtub with jets/jacuzzi function and great shower (although shower head is not fixed to the wall at standing height so needs to be held by hand). Room was very comfortable - although I did hear some noise through walls of other guests it was minor and there was no street noise. Breakfast was on the pricey end but good selection of fruits/cereals/yoghurt, cheese, cold meats and boiled eggs. I managed to find parking across the street although there was not an over-abundance of free parking around but it was a Saturday evening. Allowed for pets (small fee) which was great.
"Fab first night family stopover on route to Italy"
We loved everything about this hotel. The family rooms were something that should be replicated around the world. As you come in the door to the room there is a small staircase leading up to a twin loft room. It is amazing how they can make a standard hotel room into a two bedroom affair. The children loved having their own space. We found this to be a much better option than adjoining rooms as it is not only cheaper but the children are effectively in the same room but everyone gets their space.
The food in the restaurant was delicious as was the Champagne. We would definitely stay again if passing that way.
The atmosphere was lovely and the place felt like great value for the money.

Ok for overnight stop , staff were very helpful, the carpark is very secure with quick access to most of the major routes, town centre was very close with enough to see and do, but on the down side even though we are smokers when you walked in there was a very strong smoke smell and the shower had a habit of filling quiet fast just enough time to get in and out, not a lot very close for food so had to nip into town but for the price and an overnight stop can't really complain

I had an Expedia reservation for 40 Euro but the hotel couldn't find it. They did have a room but it was 45 Euro. They called Expedia but since I used Expedia US they couldn't do anything for me. They told me to call Expedia US but I couldn't because I was in France. It's really not suitable for 3 adults because the bunk bed on top of the double bed is too tight for most adults to comfortably fit.
We stopped over at the hotel for 1 night on our way to the south of France, the rooms were very comfortable, the staff great and we had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant. This was our first trip with the family pet which was also made very welcome at the hotel. There's plenty of countryside around the hotel for the obligatory dog walk :) We will certainly stop here again on future trips.

Chalons-en-Champagne is the capital of Marne as well as the region of Champagne-Ardenne. Wine connoisseurs can enjoy a tour of Joseph Perrier's underground champagne cellar before tasting a drop themselves. Chalons-en-Champagne is perhaps best appreciated from the city's waterways where canoeists can take in the fantastic views of Saint Etienne's Cathedral and Notre Dame en Vaux.
