This hotel is well situated with a good restaurant and alfresco drinking area, with good bus routes on the door step and easily walkable shopping areas.

nice hotel in town
nice hotel within easy reach of the town centre. rooms are nice with tea and coffee. great breakfast. Parking is on the street which is free after 8pm and all day Sunday

Typical up-scale hotel in a small city
The Hotel Saint Regis is a typical up-scale hotel in a small city. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The rooms are relatively basic: Clean, reasonably spacious, decent bed and the usual facilities without anything special. This hotel was chosen for its location: halfway along a road trip between the north of France and the north of Italy. As somewhere to stay, it was fine. There is a small bar (closed before 11pm on the night I visited) and a Bistro (expensive but the food was decent.

A good hotel, nice restaurant but no parking.
This is a good hotel with a nice restaurant. However there is no car park. Hotel.com’s expression ‘self parking’ clearly means ‘no parking’. The Banque parking is very close and reasonably priced.

Good stopover on bike path.
Excellent old style hotel. Nice room. Good location. Good WiFi. Bikes locked in storage room in garage. BEWARE. The hotel charges 10 euros to store 2 bicycles. We did not pay as no hotel charges for bikes in Europe.

It was a very nice hotel
It is an old hotel but it has been well maintained and everything works perfectly. It is small like almost every hotel in France. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

Good location in Chalon Sur Saone.
The service was great. The hotel restaurant food was great. The bathroom was large and modern. The light fixture in the room was ultra modern ugly. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was close to the train station.

Bien rénové dans la chambre ( très bonne literie) et calme. Toilettes basic et salle de bain bien équipée mais pas très moderne. Bar chaleureux et cosy. Le restaurant a un beau cadre et le dîner est très bien ( rapport qualité / prix très intéressant) Bonne qualité de produit et quantité pour le petit déjeuner.
