My booking was cancelled by Expedia 1 hour before check in according to the hotel staff. Hotel staff were aware that we are on our way to the hotel. . Initially hotel staff had a CAVALIER attitude and they were least concerned about the booking / cancellation . They were more interested in if we have paid in advance It took them nearly 25 minutes before they sorted the matter out and checked us in.
Sagar Plaza is one of the oldest hotel in Pune. Its located just off Main Street and East Street, right across the SGS Phoenix Mall. Some of the rooms are renovated and quite modern. Unfortunately there are several rooms which need to be renovated and lack basics (read, sufficient plugs for charging, old bath tubs, beds etc). Breakfast spread is quite good. Staff is very good. Ample parking space is available.
Not very large rooms but very tastefully decorated. Good breakfast spread - Indian, continental and fruits. Courteous staff. Quick checkin and checkout. Had problems with wifi. Even when it connected it was slow.
Good experience overall.There was some confusion about the hotel and the expedia support people helped us out of chaos.So thanks to expedia who made sure that our journey was awesome and without any further issue.
