Horrible stay

Posted 27-Mar-2017
When we first arrived and checked in, the lady was nice and friendly. But we noticed right away their office was under construction. There were NO signs whatsoever apologizing for the inconvenience the guests had to go through. No pool/spa so we had to drive to la quinta to use their facilities. La Quinta was very accommodating and friendly although their pool/spa was really crowded! Then during our 2 night stay, the guests upstairs were very very noisy! Loud footsteps and banging all night! Then when we were out of the room I specifically placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door so housekeeping wouldn't enter since we really didn't need it. But when we arrived low and behold they had entered the room. I mentioned it to front desk right away. The light switch for one of the lamps didn't work so it couldn't be turned off. It happened to be the main light. Everything was hooked up to the main light switch so off we turned that off the fridge and microwave turned off too! Just problems during our stay. Never going to stay at Days Inn again!

Needs new bedding....

Posted 13-Mar-2017
The blanket on the bed had one or two holes in it & was so thin, it didn't really do much good! My husband could smell three different perfumes on the comforter, so I don't know how often it has been cleaned. Staff was super nice, though. It's an older hotel being remodeled, but we were disappointed with the quality since the online rating had it at 3.7 stars. We'd give it 2, max.

Not worth what we had paid

Posted 12-Mar-2017
They were under construction which failed to tell anywhere on website or on phone even when I called in. We were excited to go swimming but got there to find out no pool due to construction. The ice machine was down by our place that we had to find it in office. Cable went out once or not working very well while watching.

Pros: good location, clean
Cons: better breakfast
Location: movie theater and restaurants very close.
Room was fine, no complaints. Tub was super deep, which I loved. I do wish however, that expedia would have informed me about the hotel construction. The pool was closed due to all the work and that was half the reason we stayed there. Also, probably in part due to the construction around the lobby, the breakfast was a little lacking. No fruit or anything to drink but coffee and no cereal of any kind.

No maintenance has been done on that room in ywars

Hotel staff advised had to run water 15 minutes before it would get hot. Walk in shower not level so ended up with a lake on the floor. Sink faucet sprayed so much the entire sink and some of the floor got wet too. Had to put washcloths over faucet while it ran. Carpet filthy. Door rickety. Curtain track stuck. Staff was civil but did not apologize or even seen to care. Breakfast fruit very old. Cereal, toast and waffles rounded out the offerings. Yuck. I don't even care that the pool was out of order but someone else might.

Gross. The worst of Cedar City

The pictures don't show how bad this place is! We felt like we were on an episode of Schitts Creek.

Do NOT waste your money!!

Pros: Nothing. This was an absolutely terrible stay.
Cons: Everything. Don't advertise your amenities and not have them available.
If I could rate this hotel below terrible, I would. The hotel was torn to pieces when we arrived. The girl working in the office when we checked in was extremely rude. She asked why we needed a handicap accessible room. I replied that we didn't, so she switched our room. We got to our room, it was open, and had two very small beds (I paid extra to have a room with a King bed). When I asked her to switch, she got very put out and said that "That's why I asked you before about the room". Okay, whatever. We got it switched. The second room was open as well. The pool/hot tub was closed. Two different times, someone walked into our room while we were watching TV- workers who were there to do work in the room. The next morning while eating breakfast, we overheard another couple state that they found bedbugs in their room and complained to the front desk. Needless to say, we rushed in to get our stuff to leave. The whole experience was disgusting. I felt dirty when we left- due to the condition of the building, and knowing there were bedbugs.. I don't know if they were planning on doing a remodel of the hotel or what, but there could not have been more than 10 rooms available to stay in total. Everything else was boarded up or had caution tape. The hotel "lobby" was being ran out of an old hotel room. Very disappointed in this stay. When I asked for the management's contact information upon checkout, the clerk refused to provide..

Nice location and friendly staff but run down and kind of dingy. But a remodel is currently happening so hopefully things will improve.
