The overall experience at the hotel was ok. However, the hot water never got above room temperature. I told the hotel staff and nothing was done about it.
beyond that, I suppose my estimation is a little biased since I went to the Philippines looking to hang out at a white sand beach, and there wasn't one near by.
My daughter and I stayed first for 5 days, then came back for 2 more a week later. We arrived 3.5 hours late do to a typhoon, yet they were still waiting at the airport for us! After 31 hours of flying, what a welcome sight! The entire time our needs were met. At first, we figured the niceness was for tips, but the staff is truly kind and has a desire to please its guests. There were so many examples of this that I wish I had written down all of the names. Kristian at the pool comes to mind. Sheila, Jane, and Aizo were informative and attentive with their service. We already miss them. The manager at the excellent restaurant was another. Check in/out was a breeze. The location was ideal for my daughter, with the massive mall next door. The security was first rate. We truly could not be more pleased with our experience at the Cebu Radison Blu. I am already trying to arrange my schedule for another visit in December!

On arrival at Crown Regency Hotel staff were foyer was crowded and chaotic. Staff were friendly and our room was clean, however was in need of paint and some fittings needed attention. The room backed onto the lift and was very noisy. Avoid this room! We were happy with our meal in the dining area upstairs and enjoyed the view from the top! The breakfast buffet was ordinary. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be convenient and staff pleasant.

I enjoyed my stay at the Diamond Hotel for all of the reasons a traveler would hope to find. The location was good in that one is able to walk to the Ayala Mall withing 5 minutes. Taxis are always available and the location is very good for moving around the city of Cebu.
Cebu City is the largest city in the Visayas. The harbor and ferry terminals are in the south of the city, as is Fort San Pedro. Colon Street, to the north, is the oldest street in the Philippines. A large Taoist temple in the Beverly Hills neighborhood overlooks the city.
