Check in was perfect, they let me drop my bags off early so I didn’t have to carry them round. Check out on the other hand, I needed to check out at 8am and there was no one on reception. It is supposed to be staffed at 8am. I called the number on the door and got send to voicemail twice, in the end I missed my bus and had to wait at the bus stop for forty minutes for the next one

Was just in Catania by myself for one night as my travelling companions had earlier departures. Was looking for a safe, clean, conveniently located accommodation and Gattopardo House perfectly fit the bill. Check-in/-out were quick and easy and the room with private bath was updated, clean and comfortable. Well situated right off the pedestrian zone with short walk to airport direct shuttle bus service. Great stay, would reccommend.

Great location
Great location, in the center of Catania, within walking distance from major attractions, shops and restaurants. The building is from the 18th century, so don't expect anything modern. The rooms are clean, big and in fairly good condition.

Really convenient location in central Catania just off via Etnea, a couple of minutes walk from the airport bus stop. Great value for money. I'd definitely stay there again

Ideally located in central Catania in a historic building. Can walk to most places of interest. Does involve some stairs. Staff are friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful stay

Excellent location and comfort with more authentic charm. We had plenty of room in the spacious room we rented for 3 nights and 2 days. It was easy to navigate around the city with this location being so central.

A good stay in good location, fix a few things
The hotel is great and in a wonderful spot. The gentleman who greeted me was great and helpful. I would correct a few things- additional pillows, the AC was not cold, and maybe install a water fountain or machine. the place had a coffee machine and hot water which was great! overall, i would stay there again.

Hidden Gem
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel, the location was perfect, right next to the main shopping area, the historical and market area. The lobby of the hotel is stunning and Instagram worthy (in the words of my teens). The communication was brilliant and Alberto was great, very helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for him. This hotel is a true hidden gem! We will definitely return,

It is a 1700 castle that was converted to rooms. The rooms are quite spacious and the owner was a gem. It really had the old Italy charm. I had a fantastic stay!

Great central hotel with the feel of a Parisian apartment. Lovely and spacious, very helpful at check in and perfectly located just off the Main Street. Unique hotel with a great ambience.

Be aware that the hotel doesn’t have elevator. Some rooms have very small windows, no access to natural light. The breakfast has limited choices, could have more fruits options. The location is good, and the building is nice.

I did all the planning for our trip to Italy and Greece, and did not know what to really expect, so I relied upon the property to properly represent themselves and found everything just as they said. They were centrally located between the airport and the cruise terminal, and the hotel itself was in a perfect part of town. There was ac and a very clean room. They worked with us when we weren't going to be able to make our checkin by 10 pm, and were very accommodating when it came to helping us get a taxi to get to the cruise terminal. We stayed again after the cruise, and were once again treated with respect as well as providing us a room before the other one was ready (four of us traveled). They also got us another taxi to get us to the airport. We are hoping to travel to Catania again and will absolutely plan to stay with them. What a nice place on a very busy and beautiful street! Lots to see and do!!! Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!!!!!!

One night stopover before holiday inland
This clean and comfortable guesthouse is right on the one of the main streets in the Historic Quarter, Via Etnea. Although its right in the action the bedrooms are located to the side of the property which is on a little road so not too noisy. Lots of lovely shops and buildings. Breakfast wasn't offered but it isn't needed as there are so many cafes on the doorstep. If you can get in, go for Pizza at Al Vicolo Pizza and Vino just around the corner - fabulous vibe and so pretty with all its fairy lights in the evening. Hosts at the Guesthouse welcoming and accomodated our early check in request. You can also leave luggage there when you check out. We took the Alibus from the Airport 4Euros. Very easy and drops you an easy 5 minute walk from the accommodation. I don't recommend walking down near the train station, the area is very scruffy with sadly alot of homeless people around. We didn't feel unsafe but I might have done if I was a woman travelling on my own.

The location in the heart of the city center is PERFECT!!! Right in the middle of everything with tons of dining and shopping options. The entrance is on a quiet side street with controlled entry which helped make me feel safe because Catania is a VERY busy place. The hotel is in a big, beautiful, historic building. My room was very nice but I wish the shower had been cleaner. Also, keep in mind that reception is not always open so if you arrive during off hours, it's a good idea to call ahead. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and I'm so glad I chose it

Lovely hotel in a great hotel
Stayed here last weekend for three nights. Taxi found the hotel fine and we was able to check in early and no extra charge. Process was smooth and staff spoke good English. Hotel rooms was great. We had a superior double. Room was big, clean and bathroom was large and well equipped with a great walk in shower. Felt very safe as there was a lock on the front door, key pass on floor (we was on the second floor and there is a lift) and key for the room. Location is great. 5 mins walk from a lot of sights and main shopping and small walk to other sights and bars and restaurants. We was able to walk everywhere and didn’t need to use public transport at all. Pic is the ceiling in our room. Great value too and would thoroughly recommend. Thanks to all at the hotel.

Il Gattopardo is brilliant. It’s ideal for a solo traveller or couple who want a characterful place, managed by a friendly face, in a fantastic location for bars, restaurants and more. Il Gattopardo is great value for money, but also a proper Sicilian little guesthouse. It’s also a 15 minute walk to Catania Centrale station - gateway to Siracusa and beyond.

Excellent service, Carlo was really nice and gave everything I needed. the other workers are also lovely. The bad is that the room and the bathroom are separate, the bad was small for my size. The place feels old, but it's ordinary in Catania

Fair rate for central accomodation
Good position, limited hotel facilities but hot drinks could be made which is rare in many Italian hotels. Absence of plugs in the wash basin mean that taps have to be left running, wasting valuable water.

We had a lovely stay here. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is located right on the historic centre so it's great for exploring the city and it's within walking distance of the bus station! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

I enjoyed my stay here. Although the reception is not 24/7 (as they warn us) and is often unmanned during the advertised hours i found the reception team very friendly and helpful. My room (202) was very spacious and looked over the main street; aircon worked ok. WIFI great. Location is excellent. Good value.

Staying in a piece of history!
Lovely place - right in the centre (maybe not suitable if you have a car). On two floors of an historic building, previously a noble family palace. Room was comfortable, with all facilities that I needed. When I stayed, there was a craft market of stalls in the street outside, and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The reception area has to be seen to be believed - painted frescos and ceilings - just what a Palace should offer! Managers/staff very friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again some time.

Very welcoming, our flight had been cancelled in last minute and we arrived one day later without being charged for the missing night. We really like the place and finally decided to stay 2 more days. Super safe place, well situated, clean. No breakfast as said on the website but a perfect coffee shop just in the corner. We will come back for sure.

Close to Via Etnea. I stayed here 5 days and did not receive soap after the 2nd day., also no shampoo after the 3rd day. Bathroom is small and outdated. Not a convenient location for those who have an auto. I paid for two Bedroom approximately 600 sq ft of not much than one king bed and a small twin bed as advertised, very basic accommodations at best.
