The suite had 2 lovely sized bedrooms and a well appointed bathroom. The outside was very off putting at 1st as it looked abandoned but once you knew the code and were inside it was a lovely building. There were a number of steps to climb.

The staff were amazing with communicating about how to check in when I arrived really late at night. It’s close to everything we wanted to see & very walkable. There are no elevators & we had large suitcases so that was a challenge. On Expedia it says they have room service & a laundry room, but they do not. Breakfast is 1euro per person per day there’s a tourist fee. Overall it was a nice stay.

I have stayed here on two separate occasions. The second time I stayed in the comfort double room which faced the street. It does get noisy in the early morning, so make sure you have earplugs. Not much that the facility can do about this...

Etna Suite is very clean, quiet, and opposite Villa Bellini. Walkable to the main area of the historical centre - about 20 minutes. Breakfast is terrific. Sebastiano was very helpful and waited past reception closing when my plane was late getting into Catania. All in all I highly recommend this property.

There is no lyft, the receptionist leaves at 7 pm and doesn’t return until 7am which meant i had no help getting my very heavy suitcase down the stairs, because I had to leave for an early flight, and I almost tumbled down the stairs very inconvenient. Also, no hotel shuttle to airport. Room was very clean and cute. It’s just an uncomfortable stay with no one in charge during the night and the ordeal in the morning.

I just wanted to underline that what you write as negative, i.e. that the reception is open from 7.00 in the morning to 7.00 in the evening, is absolutely true and well specified when making the reservation. Despite this, we are reachable by telephone 24 hours a day and are always ready to satisfy any request. We provide transfers to and from the airport if requested.

Not my best choice of hotel
No Lyft, no overnight reception, no airport shuttle. I had to haul my extremely heavy suitcase down two flights of stairs because I had to leave before reception attendant arrived for work. Very inconvenient stay. The location was great, bed comfortable and cute room.

Perfect Hotel in Catania
I absolutely love this hotel! I stay here anytime I need to go to the airport and always have a great experience. There is no lift, so warning to all first time American travellers: you will have to carry your bags up the stairs. The rooms are beautiful, shower has great pressure and the location cannot be beat.

The staff at Etna Suite Rooms are extremely nice and polite. The are super accommodating and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing I didn’t like about our room was was the fact that to go to the bathroom you had to go up/down a couple of steps. The going up or down is not a problem but steps should have safety strips to make them more visible and safe. Coming out of the bathroom, my husband, didn’t see the steps and nearly had a bad fall. I think this should be addressed for the safety of others. Breakfast was very nice - good choice of products, perhaps a bit more variety in bread would be good. It is served in a lovely grand hall just across from Giardino Bellini. Perfect location, within an easy walk to all sites.

Room with spacious very clean. It was quiet so it's easy to get some sleep. Gentleman at the desk was extremely helpful providing tips as to where he eat and arranging transportation for me to the airport. This is an excellent place to stay

This was one of my favorite properties during my 3 weeks in Italy. My flight was very late getting in and they made accommodations for my late arrival. The staff was fabulous! Breakfast was wonderful! I hope to stay here again someday!!

Nice comfortable and clean room in a good location. Easy walk to the city centre. Even though it was on a busy road, it was quiet at night. Valet parking around the corner was useful. Staff were super helpful.
