Quirky old hotel - needs an overhaul - adequate

Posted 22-Apr-2016
Pros: Location was fabulous, bed was very comfortable, staff was polite, shower was spacious.
Cons: See comments above
Location: Smack in the middle of Avalon. Good swimming at multiple spots - the locals know where to go. Zip lining was fun. Plenty of hiking.
Check in was a bit delayed due to having to move some furniture (odd reason). The hotel is old and quirky. The room we had (203) was oddly shaped (obviously created when they subdivided larger rooms) such that the TV was off to the left of the room and the bed faced away from it at a right angle. If TV watching is a big deal to you, this may make a difference. The sleeper sofa looked shaggy and old - like something from a college frat house. We did not open it nor sit on it. They are undergoing construction so the front is all torn up but there was NO construction noise during evening hours. Hopefully, they will replace the carpet as well. It is very tired. Slip covered on sofa in lobby also very tired looking. The continental breakfast is scant - grab a piece of fruit off the table then go eat somewhere.

Nice Hotel, in the middle of all the action

Posted 19-Apr-2016
Pros: There is a club right in front of this hotel, short walking distance.
Hotel was close to everything you need. There is a club right in front of this hotel, short walking distance. Hotel Staff was nice and friendly. Next to a liquor store. Walking distance from the port was not too bad, its right along the strip.

It was a very beautiful night at the hotel

Posted 16-Apr-2016
The hotel is nearby everything even to walk from the ferry's gate although the hotel manager offered a shuttel but it was 8 min walk in a super beautiful weather and amazing sights, The staff were cool and friendly, the rooms were very clean, beds so comfortable with big 60" LED that you don't want even to leave the room, the breakfast was good, over all rating is 5 stars for me and my family.

Decent Hotel, Walking Distance To Everything

Posted 05-Apr-2016
Pros: I like the location, 5 minute walking distance from port.
Cons: Nice to have WIFI in room and better continental breakfast
Location: Right off the main street where all the activities and restaurants are. There was an alley next to the hotel which made it ease of access.
Staff was very welcoming, the hotel have a luggage closet where you can store it until check in (that was nice). Our room was spacious but our view was of the roof and AC (not great at all). The picture view they sell isn't consistent with all the rooms. The continental breakfast was really disappointing; bagels, Danish(not very tasty) , orange juice, coffee, cutie oranges and apples. WIFI connection only in lobby. To unlock our room door was a traditional key. We had to jiggle and use tricks to open the door.

Good Location

Posted 05-Apr-2016
Pros: Hotel staff was excellent. Location was close to boardwalk.
Location: Location was walking distance to restaurants and small shops.
Hotel staff will pick you up from the boat drop off at pier, but it is not far to walk. They hold luggage all day after check out. Downside is, the town shuts down very early. Could be the time of year but it was Spring break. Room was clean. Would be good for a family. Has fridge, microwave and small sofa bed. No view. Old, but historical charm.

Very nice hotel and very close to everything.

Posted 24-Mar-2016
Pros: Walking distance to everything.
Cons: The extra beds and pillows.
Location: Near the Mini-golf, golf cart rentals, taxis, restaurants, stores, casino, in other words, very well located.
I would not recommend the pull out couch because that was the only thing I did not find very comfortable. Other than that everything else was very good, especially the staff.
