"We spent five fantastic nights at the Grifo. So relaxing and welcoming. From the moment you arrive you realise you’ve made the right choice as it feels exclusive yet friendly tucked away from the main road. Our room was spacious, clean and it was worth a little extra for a balcony with a sea view. We spent a few nights sat outside relaxing and it’s great for drying swimwear. The spa was amazing and especially the hot pool after a long day sightseeing or on the beach. I paid for a massage and it worked wonders. Food was great with a fair choice at breakfast and they even treated my partner to some cake and Prosecco on her birthday that made it extra special (thanks to the brilliant Enzo who also made us a perfect coffee every morning). Reception team arranged us a scooter, ferry tickets and gave lots of tips for places with a smile. The shuttle bus worked around us and made it easy to get back and forth. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and very likely we’ll be back at some point. The owners were a lovely couple and you can see how they ensure guests are treated well and genuinely care."

"This place is for savvy travelers. It could easily be a 4 or 5 star hotel. Amazingly clean! It’s location is great if you like to walk for 10 to 15 minutes. Restaurants and coffee shops all over. I was discouraged when I saw the taxi driving away from the port without knowing that Ischia has this beautiful area called Casamicciola. A ten minutes walk down the hill will take you to the bus stop if you want to go to the port (also ten minutes away). The restaurant has authentic Italian with prompt and friendly service. Entertainment on the terrace starts at 10pm with a beautiful view of the lights on the nearby hills and the sea. I was very impressed with this hotel!! "

"The hotel is average at best Room didn’t have water or trash can. It was very basic Water in the bath wasn’t hot Breakfast was ok but it starts at 8 am! I have never seen a hotel starts breakfast that late! You have to ask for milk as they don’t leave it outside! So everyday I put cereal and ask for milk! There’s one coffee machine with a long waiting line There’s a beach around 7 minutes walking but the guy at the hotel invited us to private beach which is paid Hotel should offer free shuttle to compensate for the location which is far from the harbor, castle and most attractions "
