What a gem! We were booked for 3 nights and had a suite on the second floor. It was lovely. Great attention to the Spanish Colonial theme in the hotel. Sergio checked us in and was wonderful. Nice view from the rooftop of part of the harbour and the Castillo de San Felipe. No bar there, but you can take a beverage and enjoy it. There is a small pool. I would strongly recommend a stay there!

It was convenient for excursions and nightlife. It was cleaned and free breakfast. But charging to have a guest every night is a negative. I understand a flat rate like $40 for a week but every time is ridiculous.

This is a gem, with lovely Spanish colonial design. No detail was overlooked in the design of the hotel. The view of the harbor and Castillo San Felipe rooftop was an added bonus. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Excellent location and accommodating staff. Breakfast was very good and the staff pleasant and patient with us as we spoke terrible Spanish. The rooms are a real respite from the insanity and dirt and noise of the city. Opt for a larger room, it makes a real difference since there is no place for clothes. Housekeeping is limited, some days they come, other days we had to take out trash and ask for clean towels and soap, but hey were very responsive happy to help. We enjoyed the pool and the view (my husband especially :). It certainly was well worth the rate - it is architecturally interesting and quaint, no frills, which is a what we were looking for. We definitely will not return to Cartagena it is filthy and people harass you non stop. Not safe, lots of "savvy" travelers get robbed and scammed. But the hotel, as stated, was a haven of quiet and safety

The hotel is close to many restaurants and bars! Walking distance to the Walled City (Ciudad Amurallada) Was clean and the room was spacious! The only bad thing was that it was noisy in the mornings when people were eating breakfast because the rooms are very close to the dining area.

El hotel es bueno, bonito,acogedor. Muy limpio. Tuvimos una estadia romantica. Tiene muy buena ubicacion, muy cerca de los callejones de Getsemani pero con una distancia prudente para que el ruido no moleste. El desayuno muy bueno. Las camas comodisimas. Me volveria a quedar sin dudas.

Honestly such a pleasant stay. The staff, the food, the ambiance was amazing. The hotel exceeded my expectations!! The hotel is so much more beautiful than the photos provided online. The rooms are very clean, the rooftop is stunning !! It was a very convenient location as well, its out of the way from the busy streets so it was not as loud but only a two min walk to the plaza ! Lots of taxis, affordable restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. Theres a juan valdez inside the same building (starbucks or colombia).

This property was wonderful, we had a great experience there. We had a corner room that views the castle and the city traffic… at night it was a bit loud but we knew that booking the hotel.

Very nice hotel and staff. Beautiful architecture. It was a little too noisy at night. One could hear cars, music, and the people having fun in the Chivas cars which made it a little difficult to rest at night

I wish the hotel had more maps and general info about Cartagena. Also the staff should have better English language skills for tourists.

Great but Always room to improve
My wife and I love coming to this hotel, this is year 5 of staying here. In the last 3 yrs, there is always an issue with the size of the beds. I always request a queen size and this time I got a small double bed. You need to adjust the bed sizes on the site. You don’t really offer king. All kings are queen and queens are standard. If it’s a website issue. Then fix it. Every time I get there. You make me feel like it’s my fault and you don’t show any appreciation or sorry that it happened. One recommendation is that customer should be able to meet a supervisor or manager. Not to complain but to say hello, say thank for for staying, to show appreciation. This happened to me very rarely in this stay. Also we always use the pool but the hotel has not kept up the appearance. The pool floor is not great. The jacuzzi area was off and the pool floor was peeling off. The prices for the hotel have increase but there aren’t any new updates to the facilities. Everything is staying the same. You are just maintaining it and nothing is improving. If you want to enhance the stay for guest. You should try a bit more. The breakfast is always great, that is one area that it has gotten better. More options are always a plus. Also the most important area too, have every staff member saying thank you, show extra courtesy , trying to go above and beyond to make a guest feel special. There was a lady that no longer works here and that made us sad. No one else try to make a connection.

The Hotel is just beautiful all over for those who are to admire the antique and unique decor. Breakfast was delicious. I like the Casona environment all over. The view from the terrace was breathtaking
