Great location and overall a charming spot.

All was good; great location, good room, nice breakfast and very friendly staff. If anything a better water pressure would have made our stay a perfect 20!

Great location for exploring Cartagena

Posted 18-Jan-2017
Pros: The location was perfect.
Cons: The hotel cleanliness left a little to be desired and they need to improve their electrical capacity. Don't expect reliable wifi service.
Location: You cannot beat this location. It is a short distance to the wall and the main square and pretty much everything else. It also felt very safe.
The best thing about this hotel is its convenient location. From here you can get much pretty much anywhere you want to go easily and quickly. Plenty of taxis pass by throughout the day or you can walk to Getsemani and the historic center. The hotel itself is charming and the rooms are spacious. Our main difficulty was with the electrical capacity of the hotel and the iffy wifi. We had to go to the front desk several times a day because the electrical circuits tripped and there was no way to call them from our room to take care of it because the phone did not work. Overall a good experience if you're laid back and don't mind small inconveniences.

Tiny Windowless rooms not as advertised

Posted 31-Dec-2016 on Hotels
The reservation says rooms are 35 sq meters (~350sqft) in size, with window and balcony view. But we got a room that's at most 9 sqm (~90sqft). NO WINDOW, let alone balcony. They only moved me to a bigger room on the 3rd day and wouldn't give me any refund for the 2 days I stayed in the windowless room. Couldn't speak with a manager either. Hot water broken, and they fixed on the 2nd day. Wifi was spotty in the room. Other services are fine. Staff are overall friendly.

Nice Area but the hotel is old

Posted 26-Dec-2016
The hotel needs a lot of renovations especially the furniture in the rooms and the doors are old. Also they need to have a different variety for breakfast not the same thing everyday

Lying front desk

Posted 07-Dec-2016
First of all when I confirmed at reception the room wasn't ready. Since i had already booked the hotel and couldn't move to a different hotel i stayed. After that there was a day of no water or electricity. Everyday afterwards no hot water. Then i needed the room for one more day and the front desk lied about having rooms since i booked anyway on expedia. Dont stay here!!!

Traditional hotel in old center

Posted 13-Nov-2016
Location: Excellent location for exploring old town. But the taxi driver passed it two times! And took a high overprice. Normal price from the airport should be
A small and nice hotel with excellent service and relative simple breakfast. But a large room!

Affordable

Posted 09-Nov-2016
The hotel is affordable and in a great location. Unfortunately despite booking a specific room type overlooking the street, I was instead put in a windowless room that was sort of like a cave and located next to the breakfast area so that at 6 AM the clanging of dishes was extremely loud.
