"Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful."

"This house is spacious, beautifully appointed and very well equipped. Add to that the fire-pit area in the huge garden, field to the rear and separate games room, it was an absolute winner for all the family! The views in every direction are just breathtaking. In easy reach of Castle Douglas and the numerous tourist attractions in the area plus lovely coves and beaches. We just loved our stay here and plan to come back some day."

"The property looks small from the outside, however, it’s surprisingly spacious inside. A very comfortable bed, with all the kit you could need in the kitchen once the hidden drawer is located. "The house was an ideal setting to see in the new year. The area has lots of interesting walks and cycling routes. The hosts provided plenty communication ahead of the booking and accomodated for our youngest guest (1 year old).
