This hotel is WAY at the top of the hill entailing climbing flights and flights of really steep stairs. You don’t want to stay here if you are want to go too and from often. You certainly don’t want to if you have luggage. We had backpacks so it was definitely able. Of course you can always get a driver or taxi. There is supposedly a shuttle but it is sporadic. We loved the room and the facility but the host was extremely rude.

Beautiful property! The elevator is almost a necessity because it is a HIKE to get up there, especially with a backpack. The room was clean and larger than I was expecting, and the balcony had a beautiful view. I'd read in a review that the room had no coffee maker or electric kettle, so I brought instant coffee and asked the front desk about a kettle at check-in, and they put an electric kettle in the room for me.

Good place to stay inside Riomaggiore
We like our room, nothing great but it had a little balcony overlooking the water. The room was clean, spacious, with comfi bed. The bathroom was small, tiny sink and shower. The hotel in inside the gated village which was our goal to stay in town. They offer parking and you can walk/take elevator to town. The breakfast was good, however is not buffet and not too many options. Still, we loved our stay. Be aware, there is no elevator in the hotel so you need to carry your suitcases to the upper floor rooms

Hotel is clean and comfortable with good breakfast included. The only drawback is high altitude and takes great effort to climb up stairs to reach.

The room and bathroom were small but perfect for our weekend stay, and bed was very comfortable. There was a beautiful balcony view of the city and ocean, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Cinque Terre.

Not quite as expected, but balcony exceptional.
Parking was an added 25 euros a day. Our rooms were the very lowest in hotel--a studio 56 steep steps down from the lobby, with 49 steep steps further down to parking. (Some further descent to get really in town.) The TV didn't work, but worst of all the internet was unuseable, it went off constantly. (OK in lobby.) Bed could have been more comfortable. Balcony was great, room was super-clean, good shelving. Fridge, but no kettle. Breakfast was worth the10 euros added.

Nice and comfortable Room. Excellent service from staff. Overall great value. Hotel is at the top of the Main Street in Riomaggiore. There are nearby elevators if you don't want to walk all the way up/down the Main Street. This was a great base to explore all 5 cities of cinque Terre. we were provided with parking garage for additional fee of ~25 euro nightly.

Spectacular view and perfect size for our family. Patio area especially was ideal for us to enjoy our breakfast overlooking the town/ocean. Kitchen is a bit basic but was enough to get us by. Hotel staff friendly. Like other reviews access requires a lot of steps. Not a lot of food choices in local grocery so be prepared.

The property is a long walk from the train station, especially if carrying a backpack. However, it is located just across the street from the elevator that takes you down into town, so that was a plus. Unfortunately, the office is down the street from the property so on our arrival we had to exit the elevator, walk down the street to the office, then walk back up the hill to the apartment. It would have been better if arrangements could have been made for a staff person to meet us at the elevator, take us to the apartment so we could deposit or luggage, then walk back to the office for the in-processing unhindered. The view was wonderful and we were surrounded by locals, which was fun.

The property was very nice however it was far up from the town, and if you are not a hiker, transportation can be a challenge, especially with luggage. A 5 minute ride up to the hotel is €15 after a one hour wait for the taxi. Same checking out. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet had some nice things available, but it was not self service so it added an element of control that we found surprising. But overall it is a very quiet place away from everything.

Hotel Argentina was fantastic and the most amazing views. I loved that they offered a very nice complimentary breakfast and the staff were wonderful. They are at the top of the hill and yes there are stairs but there is also an elevator in the village you can use to get to the top level which was helpful. We had a balcony which was great for watching the sunset or you could go down a level to their outside patio. We enjoyed wine and snacks there another night while watching the sunset. Lovely hotel and I would highly recommend it if you are staying in Riomaggiore.

The breakfast is okay. The hotel is very basic, they don’t even provide Kleenex. To get to the hotel on foot is a big challenge, this is not for the weak heart or feet. But I guess this is common in this area. Just be prepared!

They Have lots of stairs and no elevator. Taking my baggages to third floor was painful experience. The room was clean. Water pressure was a bit low so you need to be patient. Air conditioning was barely making our small room cool. I most probably will try another place for my next trip.

Where do I begin? Only 1 in 6 electrical outlets worked. The shower faucet leaked, AND the shower curtain only covered half the tub, so every shower got water EVERYWHERE! No a/c, which wasn't that bad except there were no screens in the windows, and we had to keep the windows open cuz of the a/c. Not a great one.

We were greeted by a very friendly man at the desk. He was very accommodating with our questions & anything we needed. The rooms were basic but very clean. Beds were comfortable, shower on the smaller size but very clean. Keep in mind this place is on the cliffs so asking for a room with sea view is the best thing you can upgrade to. There is a terrace with tables & chairs we & our friends used to sit having drinks & snacks. There is a store right when you come out tunnel from the train. Stop & buy meats, cheeses, breads, crackers, wine & sit enjoy the sunset & under the stars. We borrowed plates & silverware from reception. This was by far a highlight of our trip. Italy has so much to offer & taking a moment to enjoy the company of friends was a highlight of our trip. Being this place is at the top of the road it is a short all uphill walk. Tip: once out the tunnel walking uphill on the main road there is a bank on the right which is a bus stop. Check the schedule we went in February & it didn't run often. If you walk, go up a little further take wide set of long steps go up them make a left at the top & there is a church up ahead. Just before the church tucked away is an elevator. The elevator will take you to the top road go out to the right and hotel is a short level road walk on the left. At check in we were told of the desk hours & told them we needed to check out prior to their opening. The night before we squared up & was given a bag full of breakfast items.
