"We had a lovely stay - the views and scenery are spectacular. The room was spacious and well appointed and very comfortable. The large balcony and full wall window were amazing. We arrived by train so the walk up to the hotel was quite a climb but this is not unusual for the Douro valley. For those with a car there is a good car park in thr basement."

"The building is beautiful and it’s set in the most stunning surroundings. You can really relax here. It is out of town but taxis are easy if you don’t have a car and you get the incredible views. Also thought the breakfast was the best and loved our dinners in the restaurant."
