"Very quirky little place but had all the ammunities that we needed"

"We had a really great week at this absolutely beautiful cottage set in an amazing location in the valley close to beautiful walks, dams, cycle paths and beautiful driving experiences with very little traffic outside the summer holidays. The place is very comfortable, but the beds could be better.We absolutely love the sheep and birds in the area.The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and the welcome process was lovely. I would recommend some shower gel in the showers just for convenience, and some cleaning materials like sponges in the kitchen area but these are such minor points.The property was incredibly clean and spider/ insect free, which is really important to us as we have a phobia in the party :-)With no towels provided, it made packing a bit bulkier than it needed to be, but again again a very small point. As we visited in the middle of May, the fact that the grass hadn't been cut can be excused as it is the end of a rainy season, the same with the patio furniture not being out there.The owner kindly help me put it out, but we didn't really need the garden and we're very happy with the patio which was bathed in sunshine in the afternoon so made for a very relaxing afternoon and evening, especially if the weather is nice which it was for us.The kitchen is well appointed as is the lounge, and we didn't need anything else while we were there. We will definitely visit again and I would recommend this owner and their care and diligence to anyone as an example of how to host a holiday cottage.Thank you for letting us stay, and we hope to see you again and again in the coming years.By the way, we found one of your Tupperware in our packing, and we would love to know how we can compensate you or send it back. "The parking is great. Been here many times it is out standing. The place so clean the host is so welcoming. And always time for a chat and so help ful. Everything you need hair dryer too exceptional. Breakfast is exceptional to every choice avalible cant fault the Horseshoe guest house will be back x"

"We were delighted to discover Gorsddu and will happily return. The property is wonderfully situated on its own with views over the mountains in all directions. The house is spacious and very well appointed. It feels welcoming. The garden is enclosed so our dog could enjoy the outdoor space too when we were sitting outside. The sense of peace and space was so welcome. You can walk from the door. Llanwrthwl Common is vast but with tracks to follow. OS map useful. It's a friendly area with so much to see - the Elan Valley of course, great countryside all around and history and culture and cafes. The 'local amenities' rating feels superfluous for this property. The village is tiny. The approach is up a bumpy moorland track. Gorsddu lies in splendid isolation. Those who choose to spend time here are probably not looking for local amenities. Having said that, road access beyond the village to amenities is fine."
