Very nice property going through some refurbishment. The staff was out of this world. Would stay again especially after the construction is done.

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa is located near the beach and in an area with good shopping. Legoland California is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Moonlight State Beach and Flower Fields of Carlsbad. Travelling with kids? Consider Sealife Aquarium, or check out an event or a game at Del Mar Racetrack. Our guests appreciate the resort's quiet location.

This resort seems tired and did not meet expectations. While there is new construction in certain areas which made for detours in buildings, other parts of it need a refresh. We were upgraded to the supposedly nicer Villas, but the room we got had a broken fireplace, hard-to-turn sink handles, and the room phones didn't work to let them know. Maintenance came and tried to fix things but couldn't. They were nice enough to move us, but the next room smelled musty and had huge stains in the rug and on the seating bench at foot of bed. They brought in an air purifier and sprayed Febreze. Also had the opportunity to play both golf courses there which are touted as "used by the PGA Tour" and comes at a price. Unfortunately the Legends course appeared to be a "used" course with poor green conditions and looked like any municipal course rather than a really nice resort course used by the PGA. The Champions course was only slightly better. The reputation of this place preceded itself, which set some expectations. But unfortunately it seems to have lost its luster, and did not come across as envisioned. Hopefully after all the construction, things are updated or upgraded and it can become the resort it's meant to be.
