Within walking distance to the heart of the city of Palermo. Our room was very spacious although it was in the older section and elevator only went to first floor so had to climb stairs to second floor. Morning breakfast provided was nice.

Just avoid it. It is Not a 4-star hotel, more like 2. Shoddy construction on top floor, elevator dont get there you have to climb two flights of steep stairs. Tin roof becomes unbearably noisy during rain. Impossible to sleep hearing big drops of water aginst metal all time. No Heating, outside temp was 7C and freezing inside the room. Terrible washroom, dark, tight shower badly designed and extractor with annoying noise like a dentist drill all time. Left early even paying fee of unsused night (not cheap) but better than staying. And worse, breakfast was all cold (eggs cold!) attended by a guy who should have stayed home sick, coughing his lungs out and snorting loudly trying to clear his nose. Disgusting.

Dear Fernando,we were very sorry to read your review.As you can see from the other reviews our score does not show the situation of a hotel to be described as disgusting.All the more reason that, as you wrote in your reservation message, you are an operator in the tourism sector you could have also sought a confrontation with the reception and exposed that the room assigned was not to your liking. In the low season when it is easy to make a change, we are always very happy to accommodate our guests' requests by perhaps even offering a free upgrade. Probably the room in question was not to your liking, but it is still your personal judgement and therefore it is certainly more professional, especially in your capacity, to avoid comments that are a little over the top when certainly I repeat the other reviews speak for themselves and there is no need to add anything else.On the subject of breakfast, we are sorry if you found the eggs cold, again you could have asked and would have been made express. Regarding the state of health of the waiter, I do not think it is his right to comment on any discomfort of a person who has a disability and who has the right like everyone else to work. I think you should review the style of your reviews a little.Best regards

Wonderful, friendly and pretty small hotel with spacious rooms and good bedding. The neighborhood is very vibrant because of proximilty to the market but quiet at night. Easy to walk to all the must-sees and train station. We loved our stay!

The property was nice, great location to a lot of sceneries. However it was in the old town so it was a bit outdated. The room we had looked different from the Expedia picture. Bed was hard and the shower was very small.

This is a diamond in the rough. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Breakfast was typical continental but tasty. The only down side was the area, not the best but as a guy i didnt feel too unsafe but there are some unsavory looking characters hanging out near a great market at the back of the hotel. Dont let that put you off

A true gem
Challenging to find, but once settled we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. We scored with a delicious dinner at the onsite restaurant and the local musicians who performed our first night there. Walking distance to everything in Palermo.

The hotel was excellent and clean. The staff friendly and helpful. Very small problem was that there weren't, as often in hotels, not enough places to hang your towels. That there were drug addicts near the hotel was an unfortunate Palermo problem.

The accommodations were wonderful. The rooms were clean and well appointed for the rate. Location was nice within walking distance to Ballaro Market and the entire historic district. Only issue was that parking is limited and a rough group of people hung out and homeless people were sleeping within feet of some of our cars.

I liked the decor of the hotel and the courtyard was a nice place to have breakfast. Breakfast itself was a little limited though and not very inspiring. Great location in terms of access to the various sights of the city however, people openly doing drugs within 20 metres of the front door was not a great look. Both nights it was noisy outside with what sounded like drunks, or maybe the drug users, arguing/shouting at each other.

Great location. Quiet outside but can walk to the Ballarò Market and Quattro Canti. About a 12 minute walk from the central train station as well. The room was beautiful and the hotel is tasteful. There is an attached restaurant for dinner if you don’t feel like going out. The staff was helpful and professional. I would stay again. Just note that the hot water in the shower does not last long.

The hotel is elegant, clean and very nicely appointed. The staff also very professional. However the neighborhood could not be worse. Think of Beriut on a bad day. Impossible to use GPS to get there and the natives in the area are very concerning.

No bombs, no children that suffer...We don't think you use the correct compharison! I pulled into the front of this property at 10pm on a Monday night and there were several people (at least 10) gathered on the church steps directly next to the property/parking lot smoking heroine out of tin foil, nodding off etc. My wife and I didn't leave the car, as we were tired and hungry from a long day of travel and felt unsafe. We sat in the car outside of the hotel for several minutes exploring other options while the attendant at the front desk just watched us, and a few of the people using drugs passed back and forth around our car. The man inside the hotel never acknowledged us or offered assistance and we decided to leave. Upon requesting a refund through orbitz we were told that the hotel could not be responsible for what happened "out of the hotel" - even though this all occurred in the hotel parking lot. The hotel took no pains to even try to deny the likelihood of our experience. Terrible customer care from Orbitz and extremely poor sense of responsibility or regard for safety/comfort from the hotel. No one traveling should have to walk by people using heroine to get to dinner in Sicily, let alone check in to their hotel.

Charming but...
Charming hotel and helpful staff. Pity there was no complimentary water or tea and coffee in the bedrooms. Shower space was surprisingly small. Box of tissues was well hidden and took some finding.

Beautiful palazzo in the middle of this amazing chaotic city. Steps from Ballarò market, Quatra Canti & many amazing churches, buildings etc. Great history, excellent food offerings.
