Great hotel - nice bayside location, friendly staff good rooms with balconies. Loved it! Parking is expensive but that’s just the area not the fault of the hotel!

If you're looking for a city break in Cardiff then Cardiff Bay is a great location. I especially liked the location of voco St David's because it has the wetlands nature reserve on one side where you can sit and enjoy birdsong and a low key beauty. And on the other side it has pubs, bars, chain restaurants, statues, interesting buildings like the Parliament and the church where Ronald Dahl was christened. The rooms have a floor to ceiling window leading to a balcony with a great view over the bay. Balcony doors are heavy and if you go out at night to take a picture wear shoes. I was in flip flops and skinned my big toe on the door. I'm clumsy, it's not the door. The spa is included for guests. I didn't book treatments but I did enjoy the large swimming pool and the hydrotherapy pool. It's excellent. Clean, spacious, friendly spa staff. I even went down the next morning and got a plaster for my toe from the spa reception. I had breakfast in my room. Can recommend. I ordered vegetarian sausages hoping they would be traditional Glamorgan sausages and they were! The food was perfectly seasoned but I wish they had put a salt and pepper shaker on the tray. I like extra pepper on my eggs and extra salt on my fried mushrooms. That did not stop me from eating every mouthful. It was very well cooked and seas

Very nice hotel we stayed here a few times. Only downside is the £24 parking you pay on top of the price of the stay. That’s the downside. Scandalous price to pay to park

We were greeted by the most friendly staff. The room was enormous and so well decorated. It felt high value. We had a room over looking the bay so the view was beautiful. Staff were very helpful when we needed a taxi booked. Room service was speedy and the food was incredible and well priced for what we got. 3am pizza was an unexpected highlight on the trip. The bathroom was really nice. Everything felt clean. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room was nice and the mini fridge keeping milk and water and cool was a nice addition. Check-in and out were both speedy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Will definitely be back.

Nice hotel, staff were really nice at check in, the walls are very thin so you hear the people talking in the next room, that was not helpful when I really needed sleep and couldn’t sleep at all

We booked it to have a one night family stay and use spa facilities - to our disappointment - when we arrived , we were informed that spa is closed , we can’t use it .. not great for the price we paid and not able to use full facilities of the hotel … very poor..

Wouldn't rush back
Not a great start to our stay. £24 for 24 hours to park the car I think is extortionate. The room should have been ready at 3pm but it wasn't. However when we got to the room it was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food.

A brilliant bay location, great views and a fantastic hotel. All staff were amazing, the food in the restaurant was excellent. Great for walking or for shopping with a great selection of pubs and restaurants very close by. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous
Lovely room, we even got a cheeky up grade to a king size bed. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of products. Only downside is the expensive of the parking 24 for 24 hours which if your staying in Cardiff to do something then you normally have to add extra to this too.

All very good and friendly.Downstairs disability lavatory very small and difficult to get in with my wheelchair no hand drying facilities and exit door opens inward so v difficult to get out by myself. Room very hot snd pillows too soft. Otherwise a GREAT stay, thank you.

Good check in, lovely room but I would expect a separate shower in a suite not one in a bath. Breakfast was excellent with great choices. Drinks were fine at the bar but a bit pricy at £7 a pint compared with £4 a pint in our village local. Overall we were very satisfied.

Superb stay
Everything about the hotel was wonderful: reception was a beautiful space and Maisie on reception was great. I appreciated her phone call, later on, to check that the room was okay. The room and view were superb and the breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel, bar none. The waiting/greeting staff were very friendly and welcoming. The whole place looked fresh and clean and the location was fantastic. I'd love to return in the warmer months.
