Perched atop Red Hill with panoramic Mount Sopris views, The Chef's Chalet is a five-bedroom, three-bath culinary retreat with three kitchens, two hot tubs, and 2,500 sq ft of deck. Designed by a celebrity chef, it's a space built for gathering, unwinding, and savoring both the landscape and life—just minutes from downtown Carbondale yet worlds away from the everyday.  
  
If these walls could talk, they'd tell stories of recipes shared, glasses raised, and mountain sunsets watched from a seat near the fire. Welcome to The Chef's Chalet, a two-level sanctuary designed by a local renowned celebrity chef —whose culinary legacy includes cooking for the likes of Mariah Carey and Jon Bon Jovi. It's part kitchen cathedral, part alpine haven.  
  
On the main floor, you'll find a chef's kitchen built for true gourmands, flanked by open-concept living and dining spaces that spill out onto 2,500 sq ft of deck. Watch the game or a classic film on the 83" outdoor TV. Grill under the stars in the fully-equipped outdoor kitchen or soak in the hot tub gazing out at your natural setting. Dine al fresco with Mount Sopris as your backdrop. Two cozy guest bedrooms and a full bath round out this welcoming level.

#### Very nice rental

We really enjoyed our stay at the chef's chalet! The home and location were beautiful. We had a large group staying for a ski trip in Aspen and this place was perfect. Conveniently located about 30 min from most ski mountains, and 5 minutes from grocery stores, but secluded enough where we felt we had plenty of privacy. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here in the future.

Our group of 4 couples stayed for 2 lovely days. The outside porch was the spot we loved the most. The home itself needs a nice facelift and some deep cleaning. Some broken items, but all in all we had a wonderful time.

The property was perfect for hosting a family gathering with kids of different ages. The deck is massive and great for hanging out while grilling. Views are stunning and we loved Carbondale so much more than we thought. Very close to hiking, biking, rafting and we highlight recommend the rodeo in town. House needs some updating but by the end this was part of it's charm. Management office is very responsive and helpful which made for a more positive experience.

#### Perfect long weekend!

We had 4 teens with my husband and I. The house was perfect. The lower level is like its own apartment with a kitchen and hot tub. The kids were able to have their own space. The kitchens are the best, we had fun cooking all our meals outside and inside. The covered porch with the TV and hot tub is the perfect hangout. And the view is phenomenal! Great location and easy access to town and a short drive to Glenwood or Aspen. We loved it and would go back

#### Great stay, fantastic view

We made a very last-minute booking (day before arrival) to visit this property for a couple of days over spring break. We had a pleasant stay, and really enjoyed the property. My wife grew up a few hundred yards from this property, down near the river. We had a great time reminiscing with her, and listening to stories. The house has an incredible view of Sopris and Carbondale. The house was equipped with everything we expected. We would certainly visit again if we're in the Carbondale area.

#### Perfect Getaway 

We had two couples enjoy our stay at this amazing property. The views are unbelievable and we were very comfortable sleeping every night. Has everything you need and more. Our favorite feature was being able to use the hot tub after fishing for four full days! We had a little fire alarm battery hiccup and the property manager was so amazing to work with. She was quick to responding to me and helping us find someone to come fix the problem. We enjoyed meeting the maintenance guy too! Would rent here again in a heartbeat. Hopefully we can enjoy a culinary experience from the owner even. Ha!

There's a lot going right for this place: the kitchen is great (really well appointed), the views are spectacular, the property is secluded and quiet, and there's ample space for family / friendsUltimately, it feels overpriced, given the downsides: - A lot of the furniture is worn down, uncomfortable, and/or close to falling apart.- Parts of the house itself are in need of repair or replacement: a loose floorboard, a rug that we tripped on every day, a vent that came out, revealing a hole in the floor. I would not recommend this place for those traveling with children. - Other minor annoyances: The gym was in disarray and unusable when we arrived (not as shown in the photos), TVs don't have the ability to use or add streaming service, and the lack of a working ice maker in the main kitchen

The house was just perfect for us- thank you! Clean, well appointed, everything we could ask for- beautiful house, beautiful setting!! The hot tub is the perfect touch! The Host was absolutely fantastic with all communication!

The view from the porch is magnificent! You have a view of Mt Sopris and the city of Carbondale. The house is stocked with cooking supplies and gadgets. We did a lot of cooking!

#### Family getaway

The location and views from the property were wonderful and we enjoyed being in Carbondale with easy access to both Aspen and Glenwood Springs. The inside of the house was clean and the kitchen was updated and well stocked, but as others have reported it needs a refresh - old carpets, some with tears, and the outside decks have dirty cushions and one with a rotting table. Management was responsive to dealing with maintenance issues we had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but it feels like the owner is neglecting some needed improvements .
