"Clean room, amazing staff"

"The condos are in need of a renovation for sure. Each one is decorated differently the room we were given had mold in the bathrooms and lots of termite issues. On the up side the cleaning staff took care of all of it. The front desk was amazing and very helpful. It was definitely nice to have a kitchen when you travel with children. I think we might try another part of the island next time but all in all it’s not a bad deal for your money. "

"We checked in before a big storm, and stayed for a week, during the storm. The town was pretty much closed, flooded. The staff did a great job and worked really hard to keep everyone happy....which is a big endeavor. They gave out meals, coffees, let the pool area be open for even an hour if there was no rain, over 3 to 4 days or so. The wifi and tv and hot water went down because of the storm, they fixed it as soon as possible. They created work arounds and despite the inconveniences from the storm, we really felt tended to. I appreciate their support and next time in Kona, this place will be at the top of my list. They also let us check in early, and leave late...based on availability of course. The location is great and we LOVED the lagoon, where we had safe and calm access to the ocean. The restaurant was super convenient and the setting was really nice. I do recommend. "

"My family of 7 plus our little dog had a great time at the Outrigger in Kona. 2 nights werent enough though. Pools are family friendly, rooms were clean and the staff a super friendly and helpful."

"The breakfast food was healthy and good. The bathroom facilities are quaint - toilet and shower in one space - outside the room. Watch for a frog in the toilet! It did have an ocean view from the dining area. Very fun place if you're into alternative lifestyles. Enjoyed seeing the outdoor areas - garden, illuminarium, paths, many neat plants and trees. The frog and geko chorus at night would have kept me awake if I didn't use ear plugs. Good experience for one night! "

"Everything was great except for them trying to trick you into buying a timeshare and excursions. Check in was great, and she was honest that we didn’t need wristbands to access the property. Very friendly and helpful. Then we were stopped in our tracks by the ‘concierge’ desk. They wouldn’t let us be on our way no matter how many times I insisted we didn’t want to. She lied and said we HAD to have the wristbands. Just give them a stern but friendly no and forget about it the rest of your trip. Don’t fall for the 1-2 hour tour. We could access everything with the room key. Plus I saw multiple times where outsiders were coming to the pool since they don’t check and you don’t need a key to access it. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay here. Pools and hot tubs were clean, bartenders were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and stocked enough. "

"We were welcomed to the big island during a record breaking Kona low storm. Dan was in communication regularly to be sure we were ok and brought extra towels. We had a great trip and the house was fantastic. "
