"Being right on the ocean was amazing and having the water come right up under the bungalow during high tide was perfection. We did go during horseshoe crab spawning season which was a shock to see 1,000s of horseshoe crabs on shore! Watching the a sunset/sunrise while also listening to the ocean waves was so beautiful and relaxing. The rental was clean and met all of our needs. Avondale by the Sea Motel

"I was traveling as a mom with her 13 year old son and we got a third floor two queen beds room. All of the rooms face the ocean but the third floor is the best. The rooms are large and very clean and comfortable and my son and I enjoyed playing uno on our porch watching the sunset opposite the ocean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We really had such a wonderful stay, walking to arcades and restaurants and ben and jerry's. We had beach passes provided by the hotel and could walk on the beach whenever we wanted. We will definitely be coming back next year and will probably be bringing more family with us. Thank you so much for this amazing vacation."

"We found the room very convenient, comfortable and to our liking. The pool was great and the service at the beach was well-managed, easy and friendly. We used the laundry service to our satisfaction although it was a little challenging to figure out. My only disappointment, and this will not apply to most people, is that there was amplified live music during dinner time, from 6 to 9 every evening, and we would have liked to eat and hang out on our balcony facing the pool. Unfortunately the music was quite loud, and impossible to ignore. Because of it we had to stay indoors or go out during those hours. I realize I am difficult on this matter, because most people like pop music or can tune it out, As a professional musician that is not the case for me. Other than that we had a fabulous time in Cape May and at La Mer, truly a class act. The weather cooperated and the beach was wonderful. I will definitely stay again at La Mer."
