This place was very comfortable and well equipped for a one night stopover. We ate our home cooked meal on the private balcony enjoying the stunning mountain views. Leysin is beautiful! Having to take out our rubbish to some designated point in the parking garage was a bit weird.
The La Tour D'Ai is in a beautiful location. The hotel has an adjacent bar/restaurant and service a nice continental breakfast included with the room. Our room had a small balcony that was great for resting and enjoying the view and sunshine.
we spent a weekend in the hotel. Facilities are first class. Rooms are very spacious, wonderful bathrooms, swimming pool/spa is great. Food was goos, especially the large breakfast buffet. A summer or winter trip to the Vaudois Alps seems like an ideal opportunity to get away from it all and soak up the alpine scenery. But the truth of the matter is that most holidaymakers – and certainly all business travellers – still want the option of getting online when they travel, even on an escape of everyday routines. Fortunately, a large number of hotels in the Vaudois Alps offer WiFi, making it easy to keep in touch with the office, stay in contact with family, or post a skiing selfie to social media.
Most hotels with WiFi in the Vaudois Alps are in the main ski resorts of Leysin, Villars and Les Diablerets, as well as in the other nearby towns of Payerne, Rougemont, Aigle and Rossiniere. All of these are easily to get to from Geneva International Airport, as well as from the major lakeside towns of Lausanne, Montreux and Vevey, making it simple to combine a business trip with a few days’ break in the Alps. Some business travellers may even find themselves in the mountains from the start, where there is a number of conference centre hotels. You can also find several medium-sized event halls in ski resorts – look for the Maison des Congress in Les Diablerets and the Swiss Alpine Centre in Leysin.
Even the busiest of visitors should find some free time here and there. Aside from the major activities of skiing and snowboarding, there is so much to do in this scenic part of Switzerland, regardless of the season you’re travelling in.
Head to the Glacier 3000 ski area to walk across the Peak Walk by Tissot suspension bridge, which spans a 350-foot gap between two mountain peaks. Or take a trip to a high-altitude cafe for a hot chocolate overlooking a snow-capped panorama. And when you return to your WiFi-connected Vaudois Alps hotel, you can easily get online and catch up with news from home.
