Andrew, the host, made us welcome from the start by sending a txt to ask what time we expected to check in, and when we arrived we were upgraded to the Charles Dickens room (Apparently Charles Dickens stayed in that room when he visited Canterbury).
We only stayed one night and the weather was terrible when we first arrived, but there is a pub less than 50 meters away where we spent the afternoon.
Also, due to Covid, the park and ride option for parking wasn't working, but we parked about 500 meters away in a council owned car park opposite St Augustines Abbey. Parking cost £2/hour during the day and £2 flat rate over night.
