It was too bad we had so many other things going on because the home is one where you want to just sit and relax and read a book. The kitchen and bathrooms have been remodeled to current styles and standards. The stained-glass windows at the base of the stairs are nicely backlit for photos. The large porch is a nice place to relax in this quiet neighborhood. The only issue we had was finding a contact person. The number given is at the Royal Gorge Route Railroad (who owns the house) and one always has to leave a message and hope someone calls back. Once I got a contact via Vrbo, I was able to get questions answered easily. ##### David D. Deer were literally walking around the yard as we enjoyed the patio. we comfortably housed eight people easily. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces.
