Been loving you for so long…
I’ve been visiting Ancora for over 10 years and I never tire of this hotel and it’s location and views of Lago Maggiore. Breakfast is fantastic, parking is easy. Not a resort, it’s a simple business-style hotel but it’s fantastic.

Fabulous beautiful Fantastic location!!!! 10 stars ***** You will love friendly staff and awesome Linens on very upscale beds. The rooms are great size and you will enjoy the thick towels and housekeeping. Great Great Great !!!!!!

Seems to be ine of the best hotels aound the area, but well just for one night it was fine. Quite old though, room is small and nothing special. Did not try the breakfast here. Location is great.

Definitely not a 4 Star Hotel, maybe back in the 1980s, the first room we were allocated was really poor,however the staff did eventually move us into an attic room 5 levels up? The breakfast was ok(fairly repetitive). There was one member of staff who was very helpful (Marta) overall great location but wouldn’t return to this hotel, one other major point if taking you car to this location be prepared for a large parking cost!!!

Excellent hotel excellent staff.
Excellent hotel with very friendly Excellent staff . Even though it’s right on the main road. The windows are so good you can’t hear anything when they’re closed. Also the room air conditioner is fantastic. It was in the upper 90s outside we stayed. And I actually got the room too cold. The free breakfast is excellent as well. Fresh squeezed orange juice, and a vegetable juice machine. Even had sparkling wine. I will stay here every time I’m in the area.

Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Close to ferry for visiting around the lake. It is over 100km from the airport so you need to be aware that trsnsport might be expensive.

Overall great, however during our stay we experienced live bands playing right next to the hotel until 00:20. Noise level was very disturbing for us. Other consideration should be that most of the apartments are not barrier free.

Affordable luxury!
Beautiful hotel right on the waterfront in Verbania! Great location, close to restaurants and steps away from the main ferry - staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, hotel is very clean and very well taken care of. Wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else if we found ourselves back near Lake Maggiore in the future!

A small hotel with exceptional personal attention. Great care was taken to make the stay special, with help always available for information or to correct any problem. Marco, the General Manager, was frequently around checking all was totally satisfactory, and his staff all seem motivated. The location is excellent, very close to the ferry stop to visit the other parts of the lake and its islands. Shops, supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops all within easy distance. The bed was very comfortable and the room had tea/coffee making facilities (rare in Italian hotels). Breakfast was excellent- one of the best we've experienced in Italy. Meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, croissants, locally produced butter, honey straight from the comb, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc etc - what more can I say? This is a special hotel.

Very pleasant surprise
We did not expect such a nice hotel for the price. Building is small but well appointed, the room was big enough for three people and was tastefully decorated. We had a beautiful view of the lake too.
