"Ehlich gesagt ist die Wohnung eine Zumutung. Es wundert mich auch nicht mehr, dass es bei der Anzeige keine Fotos vom Bad gibt, es ist eine Katastrophe .Die gesamte Wohnung ist schmutzig, modriger Geruch hinter scheußlichen Wandverkleidungen. "Owner Enrico has been really helpfull and friendly. The Villa is on 4 levels (one for the pool, 3 for the building floors) which gives you more privacy but also makes it harder to stay together if that's what your group wants. 1 restroom for each room is a luxury. However, they they would need some renovations, as wel as the kitchen.Great common areas such as outside patio, inner dining room and big sofa areas. Beautiful landscape. Overall very good if you are looking for a rustic retreat in the countryside"

"Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries, or Cinque Terre but we did it. You must have a car or driver though, it's too remote to get to and from easily. The owners were delightful. We ended up booking breakfast everyday, as well as a pizza night and a final goodbye dinner with their chef. Everything was fantastic!! Make sure you get an e-sim (their wifi is fine too) before you arrive and load up google translate, as the owners only speak Italian. We will cherish our memories of our stay for years to come. "

"Grand hotel Cappuggi did not disappoint. I stayed with my 3 children for 10 nights end of june , start of july. Very reasonably priced 4* hotel experience haf by all. A little out of town (2 miles) but free shuttle bus (or taxi if not available) shows excellent customer care. Receptionists very helpful, cleaners nice and cheerful. Fabulous swimming pool essential in 38° temperatures. Football and tennis available. Ball provided keeping my boys well entertained. Thiroughly recommend this hotel as a point from where to explore Tuscany and further afield. "

"Host welcomed us to his family’s home with homemade honey, soap & lavender sachet! He also arranged a delightful balsamic vinegar tour! Fresh mountain air and view were wonderful! This was definitely an escape from the touristy cities. Everyone was so friendly! We also took longer day trips to Parma via car and Venice via train but loved coming back to this quiet villa. The 2 separate spaces worked well for our family and the pool, lounge chairs & hammock/swing were so relaxing!"

"We didn’t stay as it was disgracefully dirty and the owners didn’t care. Told us we hadn’t paid for a room with a view when we complained about looking out at brick wall and scaffolding.
