A bit of a hidden gem - lovely gardens, attentive to every detail in the pool area, the pool staff so responsive & caring! Access to taxi, bars & the beach for sunrise sunset walking. Spacious room & very peaceful environment.

We had a lovely stay at Sonesta, the staff were very excellent and couldn't do enough for you. We were located in the best rooms so really happy about that. The location is perfect...a 3 min walk to the beach and then you can walk along the beach to Calangute where all the seafront restaurants are. If you wanted to venture towards the main roads, there are plenty of restaurants there also. Buffet breakfast was good and changed a few items every day.

This hotel has been a regular stop for us. Very clean rooms pool and open spaces the only reason I have marked down is the rooms could do with small updates- re paint the walls, new sockets and not very user friendly when try to get ready in the evening, the lights are dim and the chair near the mirror not the right height. Also the air con is noisy.

Gym facilities not working, jacuzzi not working and spa was “closed for the season”. Food and everything was very expensive. But nice location and very clean and very helpful staff

A little piece of heaven, away from the mayhem.
Staff were all very helpful and accommodating, almost anticipating what you were about to ask for. Room was spacious and air-con excellent. Hotel food was great, with a large selection to suit most tastes, but there were also lots of local places within a short walk. A short garden walk straight onto the beach and a few hundred metres off the main road, so pleasantly quiet. Smallish resort, with only about 60 rooms, but wonderfully personal.

Very good but could be so much better
A hotel with great charm but in need of refurbishment if my room is anything to go by. Food was OK but nothing special. A great pool but sunbeds mostly have black plastic cushions which get SO hot unless you cover them with towels in advance. Numerous power cuts, mostly I was told as a result of the local power company's problems. Wi-Fi was good but I had to log in several times a day. Being so close to the beach is a big advantage over many others in the area.

Very Nice hotel, its very near to the beach.

Nice 3* ... the staff make it
When the staff go out their way to help, accommodate and facilitate ... you know you are on a winner. From pool attendant to food and beverage manager and pool / bar staff all helped anyway they could. A 50 room resort ... everyone knew your room number anytime and most knew your name. Always happy to talk and help. Simple things like the same spot at the pool... towels out waiting or the beverage you like make life just a little easier. The rooms are clean an tidy... but due to their wooden doors ans Windows and own front doors and now double glazing ... the lose a lot of AC coolness ... so we had ours on 24/7. Noisy ... but got used to it. Always hot water ... bed was a little hard ... but good tv channel choice and comfy enough! It was quiet and relaxing in the rooms and around the pool ... except when a large group of weekenders from Dehli arrived. But impressively the staff kept on top of them. Food was always good. Prices when we went in April were very good for food/ drink and accommodation. Beach is a short 2 min walk from the pool. Main restaurants and roads were 5 mins walk. A lot of people around the pool appeared to be repeat visitors ... prehaps that says the most of a review.

Nice hotel close to beach.
Stayed for 6 days and will stay again. The pool wad clean and so nice did not go to beach where the sand and roaming dogs are. Breakfast is great and filling. Room service delivers the food hot and fresh. A taxi was waiting for me upon my arrival at airport. Something I asked the hotel to arrange. Reasonoble rates and great location.

A green, peaceful, silent n enjoyable stay...
Sonesta is conveniently located just next to candolim beach. One can walk down to peaceful n silent beach through the hotel itself. This beach is anytime better than regular calangute n bagha if one likes to enjoy the relaxing sounds of ocean tides. Hotel staff is co operative. Pool is clean. Hotel is green all around and is very near to market making it suitable for families. Veg food in the hotel is not very good and breakfast options are less. If hotel is full, visit little early for breakfast to avoid crowd in the sitting area.

Business Trip to Goa in off season. Resort is well located on shoreline. The Resort is average at best. Plumbing and electrification is worn out and needs overhall. Rooms and beds otherwise OK. Did not use pool or other facilities. Breakfast also average.

The place was much better than expected, a pleasent surprise. Well maintained, beautiful property, great service, F&B reasonably priced. Next to candolim beach, section almost like a private beach. Great pool with life gaurd at most times.. awesome place. Location is ideal with resraurants , market and easy beach access. Forget everything and just checkin...you will have a great time

Well maintained property and wonderful service by staff. Little away from happening places, no pub nearby, shopping >1 km away. If you are looking for shacks, pubs, beach parties then better stay near Calangute / Bagha beach.

Amazing stay at Sonesta Inns
Overall we were really happy with our stay at Sonesta Inns. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was a good size for the 3 of us. The hotel has a onsite salon/spa and is a few minutes walk to the beach. There is a group of taxi's outside, be sure to ask for Krishna as he looked after us and took us on a trip to old Goa to see the temples and churches as well as taking us to Anjuna market, to local resteraunts and to Thalassa in Vagator where we saw the sunset from the beautiful Greek cliff top resteraunt. We would stay at Sonesta Inns if we were to visit Candolim in the future.

After a good deal of research, we decided to stay in this hotel, and did not disappoint us at all. We had a heck of a time. The hotel staff was extremely courteous. Special thanks to the restaurant Manager, Bosco and Pool `in charge, Judith.. We will definitely stay in this resort again, on our next visit.

Nice Hotel in a Quiet Locality in Candolim
I went there with my family and enjoyed the stay. Courteous staff, tidy rooms, excellent food, good travel arrangements and well maintained hotel. You can opt for this hotel if you want to spend some good time in a quiet locality.

Everything at this hotel is perfect... Location, room, swimming pool, service EXCEPT Food which is quite ordinary especially considering the taste expected at Goan restaurants. I would prefer to visit here again.... But eat outside :)

At first the room we were given was horrible it smelt of damp, no water in the hot water tap and then muddy water in the same tap and then when we were going to bed we discovered the linen hadn't been changed so had to ask for clean linen at 23:00 hours but they changed our room the next day and it all went fine from there.

Perfect location, short walk to the beach.
Warm welcome upon arrival, and all the facilities in the room were adequate. The pool and surrounds were immaculate (Tks Judas) . Breakfeast was good, especially being able to eat outside. Staff tried hard to make our stay pleasant.

Good quality three star hotel in Candolim
Sonesta is a very pleasant, reasonably priced hotel with its own path running about 200 metres to the beach. The rooms are spacious and arranged around the pool and garden area. All the staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was fine, though would have benefited from wholemeal bread, maybe. The coffee shop was adequate. And the bar near the pool area reasonably stocked, though a better selection of wines would have been welcome. For a quiet few days in Goa, I will probably be back.

One of the best hotels at beach side(just 100ft)
This is a very good resort hotel with best swimming pool (both for kids and adults separate) with rooms surrounding like condominium style. Few are pool facing with balcony and few are otherside/outside facing of the hotel. All rooms are very new and clean and high quality finish and decorative in style and very comfortable with large size bed and cushion. Room service is faster for food ordering or any other service. Breakfast is simply good. it has got continental, 1 north items like paratha and 1 south item like dosa and both type of coffee and tea of international and indian style. They hotel host 70% foreigners and 30% Indians at the time we were there during Christmas 2014. Hotel rates are on little higher side due to christmas season, but rest of the places in Goa as well the same. The beach is 100 to 200 ft away from the back yard of the hotel. walkable with less than 5 mins time. and also walk-able in night as they put lights through out the walking area. On reaching the beach you have lots of beach side shaggy and restaurants. The condolim beach is very clean with decent crowd of foreigners and decent Indian families around. Very peaceful, quite, and enjoying all the time. All restaurants host music , lights , playing billiards/snooker, candle light dinner in sand beach with both veg, non veg and drinks. Pretty good and decent place to spend with value for money. Make sure to ask for rooms facing poolside.. May be they don't allocate it easily.

Sonnesta a Star Hotel in Goa
This vacation with stay at Sonesta was brilliant. The Hotel is best value for the money you pay. The Hotel is at best location in North Goa with its backyard leading to the beach.

Good property with private access to the beach .
Booked it on long weekend . Goa was full. Paid more than it usually cost but I guess long weekends are expensive . It was blessing the property is bit away from the main road about 500 m and had private beach access since anything on the main road was noisy .Nothing spectacular about the hotel .decent big rooms , good Aircon , and decent housekeeping . Overall a good option for families with children who want a big beds , big rooms to keep the bags , decent pool and private access to the beach .

Great location, next to beach. Good suite. Food was average but ok. Reception staffs could have been more approchable and customer centric. They appeared as if least bothered. I mean i missed the warmth in them, this is meant only for reception staffs. Candolim beach is a minute walk through a narrow stretch and the first view of the sea is amazing.

Smooth check-in. Requests adhered to for most requirements. Great staff. Excellent swimming pool. Not a very good spa. Our Shirodhara sessions were unsatisfactory. Need to maintain better cleanliness in Spa. Close to the beach.Food was good though the breakfast quality needs slight improvement. Parking is an issue. Vegetarians have very limited choices but that is true through out Goa.We enjoyed the overall experience. Will not hesitate to recommend this and Expedia is a good site to book these hotels. Lastly we were shocked that the hotel did not have channels that broadcasted World Cup Football. We thought Goa was Football crazy.

Nice location ,walkable distance to a calm and clean beach. Stay was pleasant with a pool facing room.we were given a make shift room as well until check in time. Staff were extremely pleasant and ready to help. Pool is clean and well taken care of. Spa was a good experience and provide both for men and women. Renting a car or bike is also available just outside hotel.Although there were families next to our room,they constantly kept making noise or spoke loudly middle of night.it was a huge nuisance and disturbance. It would be nice if hotel authorities could keep a check once or twice after 11pm. I will strongly recommend hotel to friends.

Sonesta Inn Candolim Goa
Sonesta Inn is an oasis of tranquility located well off the main road to avoid noise but short enough to walk up to get a bus or walk into Candolim. The beach is a 100m walk through the hotel garden so very convenient. There is a decent size pool and ample sun beds looked after by an attendant. The staff are fantastic and very attentive, they couldn't do enough for us, the rooms are spacious, well laid out and very comfortable, we stayed in a Luxury Room, it was great with a balcony overlooking to pool.
