Great hotel close to the beach

Posted 29-Jul-2016
I wasn't expecting much considering it was a cheaper option than most of other comparable hotels in the area but boy was I suprised. First of all, the check in was quick and seem less and the staff upgraded our room to a villa from a hotel room was great. The pool and the beach were meticulously cleaned and maintained. The staff, probably the most curtious and prompt staff I have ever experienced in Mexico and I have been to cancun, Riviera maya, playa del Carmen and canun before. Lastly, the food was amazing and could easily rival any five star hotel from the states. Overall, I was extremely suprised with this hotel from the room, the staff and the food. i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a great value and great beach area.

Omni needs work

Posted 28-Jul-2016
Pros: 3 BR.
Cons: See above.
Location: N/A
We had visited Omni about 5 years ago and stayed in one of their 3 BR villas. It was nice enough except the internet sucked. On our recent stay we again stayed in a 3 BR villa. The internet suckage is unchanged. The staff is great - very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English. The villas need remodeling and are showing a lot of wear and tear since last visit. The grounds are nice. It was very crowded, but we found a nice place under a thatched roof on the beach that was less noisey and crowded. Service was good there unlike some other spots. The food needs some serious upgrading. It was OK. The beach had a severe slope to the water line and there was seaweed in the water. Fairly rough surf. I doubt seriously if we will return as this was a last minute booking and it's hard to find 3 BR on short notice. If management was serious about upgrading, I would renovate the rooms and improve the food and the wifi.

From the time we arrived the staff was extremely friendly! We had a great stay, the chefs were amazing and the facility was kept absolutely spotless! Even the pool restrooms had staff cleaning them every hour and a half!

I have stayed in better places

Posted 22-Jul-2016
We stayed five nights in Omni Cancun. Even though all inclusive you need to carry cash to tip the employees for the better service. I booked a deluxe room, they gave us a room with no view. I was seeing a roof top and ac units. Room was falling apart. Balcony door wasn't locking, they came and fixed in the first day. We asked hand towel they kept bringing shower towel. Shower had was malfunctioning and stopped working completely in the second day. Then we asked a new room, they agreed to moves us to different room on the higher level then we realized how bad was initial room. In the new room we had the ocean view, glass door shower, newer furniture, even the towels were new. After paying $130 per adult per night I was expecting better room quality. It was a disappointment. There were not so much activity for the kids, pool needs better water circulation. Ocean is very wavy in that section of Cancun. It could be dangerous even for the adult. We spent our time mostly by the pool. They have Mexican, Italian and Asian restaurants. We could only tried the Mexican, other ones were already booked when we checked in our first day in the hotel. In Italian restaurant, they don't let you book after 6 pm if you have any kids.

Perfect Stay!

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Pros: Great/friendly staff, great food, gorgeous beach. We truly felt like we were in paradise.
Location: The hotel is a 5-10 minute drive away from the clubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was jet skiing and parasailing. The hotel offered lots to do!
My sister and I decided to book a trip to Cancun to celebrate her graduation from college. We wanted to do all inclusive, and stumbled upon this hotel. After staying in this hotel, I can honestly say I am in love! We had the best time. All of the staff was very polite and friendly. They all seemed to genuinely love their job. The hotel was gorgeous. There were so many pools, which was nice since each day we had a different option of where we wanted to lay out. The beach was wonderful as well. We never had an issue finding chairs. A staff member walked around and got us drinks, while we just laid back and relaxed. It was heaven! The room was also nice. The shower was great, and the bed was big and comfy. The food was also delicious! My sister and I had the most amazing time, and we will definitely be returning to this hotel next time we head to Cancun.

Cozy, family place

Posted 13-Jul-2016
Pros: Ambiance
Cons: Nothing really
Location: Great beach
At first I though it was a small boring place. But after spending the first night I noticed that it has many small spots distributed throughout the premises instead of a big open area. This makes the place more cozy, people are closer together and it creates a nice atmosphere. Bigger open spaces create a colder feeling, industrialized, like Disney. Here you feel integrated. The food was good, specially at Pina Colada OMG the Mussels!
