I have stayed here on 3 separate occasions before and after the new ownership. Now the facility is a lot cleaner and seems to be in better repair overall since the new ownership. The staff are especially intent on making you feel welcome and were extremely helpful. Was lovely never having to get a drink while by the pool/beach. Now I will say the following changes detracted from the experience: the drinks are not as good as they used to be, I,e, weaker. The new family resort thing makes it less fun, as you’re never too far from a screaming kid...also the facility is not designed for children giving the poor things very little to do anyway. Which begs the question as to why they even changed from adults only to family. Also I am sad that the restaurants used to be more experimental and unique. Often having full on entertainment experiences while you dined. This has been throughly sanitized into lifeless replicas of the restaurants from before and mainly feels like they did not want to spend much money on decor during the transition. Makes sense from a business perspective, but from a guest perspective it’s less exciting to go out for dinner.
Overall it’s a pleasant stay. But with all of the changes I don’t really see myself returning. It used to be a great adults only- lgbt focused resort. Complete with entertainment that was engaging and fun. The new sanitized version of it is a little bit boring. And the entertainment staff are not as fun as the previous team was.
