Nice hotel, very clean, nice staff, but ocean nah

Not the very best ocean since there were so many seaweed in the sea preventing me from actually getting into the ocean (there was nobody in the ocean in front of grand park royal, but more people in Hyatt area), but nice pool, nice staff, nice food (especially the Italian restaurant), and nice drinks. Location was pretty nice too. Room was super clean and got a free upgrade to a suite! I do not regret the stay in Grand Park Royal. It was definitely a memorable experience. Loved the stay.

I love the hotel staff special Jamie my butler but in only think you got to were long pants to eat at night when go to dinner in a hot climate like that's no good everything else was great

Cons: Stop harassing people to purchase time shares! Most of your guest are there to relax and unwind, we do not want to be pressured to buy into your club
All the staff are very friendly, they try very hard to please you. It would of been a perfect stay except for them pushing you to join their club (time share).

AC did not work !!

The ac in my room didn't work, didn't even bother trying to fix it for me.

Beautiful hotel right on the Beach

Pros: We loved the location and overall beauty!
Cons: More chairs and umbrellas by the pool and at the beach
Location: Great location right on the strip. Very close to downtown and all the shopping.
We just stayed at this hotel and it was amazing. We had a Villa with a deck and little pool and it was absolutely beautiful! The beach is so beautiful and the hotel grounds are well taken care of. Very clean rooms and very well maintained. Just simply breathtaking all around. The food is amazing, the best I have had at any hotel in Mexico! We ate at the buffet and they always had a huge variety of food. They even have a kid's corner where they make kid friendly food. At other hotels they did not have kid friendly choices so our small daughter would end up only eating peas and fruit but at this hotel we did not have to worry because they always had something she could enjoy. Another thing I liked is that they served fruit at all meals, where at other hotels they usually only offered it at breakfast. Excellent all around! We adored this hotel! We especially loved Jorge on the cleaning crew and Jorge at the front desk. These two gentlemen are right there to help with anything you need. Most of the staff was very helpful and nice. A wonderful vacation for families or couples. We will be coming back for sure!! The only thing that was a little lacking is there were not enough chairs by the pool and not enough shade. That is my only recommendation for improvement.

Very Nice All Inclusive

Pros: Beach, pools, Italian restaurant, great staff, comfortable beds, rooms with a view
Cons: Buffet, more privacy in shower area
Location: There is a designer mall nearby and restaurants, though we did not visit.
We are a family of four with two teens. The Grand Park Royal was a very nice hotel. The staff was wonderful especially Mosquito in the bar and Sam in the Italian restaurant. The buffet was okay, typical all inclusive buffet, but the Italian restaurant was spectacular and we ate there most often. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We would have like more privacy in the shower area for changing though. We had a great view of the beach from our room and we didn't have any issues with noise. Both pools are awesome with one being quiet and the other having activities going on throughout the day. There was a little bit of the towel game going on, but for the most part we had no issues getting chairs. The beach front was large and clean with some good waves. There was some seaweed, especially the day after heavy rain, but we really enjoyed the waves. We spent our time at the hotel except for our excursions to the cenotes (Josh was an awesome guide) and Tulum/Hel Ha. They do grab you as soon as you get there and pull you into the timeshare presentation, which lasts 3 hours and not 90 minutes. We did not purchase the timeshare as we have a child starting college, but Mario was exceptional and if we were able, they made it very attractive. All in all it was a great vacation and we would return to the Grand Park Royal.

First Time in Cancun

Pros: Cleanliness, services, staff were fantastic. They were ready to help when asked.
Cons: AC in the buffet area need to get more cooler.
Location: Plenty of things to do around the hotel. Can't say. Shopping was not far from the hotel. just few minutes when get on the bus.
My adult son and I, our first time visit in Cancun. First time we arrived in the hotel, we had a warm welcome by the staff escorted to the front desk. The staff were very friendly. We got the room even before 3pm. The services were awesome including the restaurants and buffet were very good! I'm very pleased with everything. Walk to the beach is just perfect. One minor complaint I had was the facility in the buffet for the food is very warm. No cooling AC. After long day feeling hot, I would like to have enjoy more cooling so i can enjoy the food. Our room was very cool, good AC. That is what is important. Everything else is just perfect.

Quick Get Away!

Cons: Way too much soliciting! The concierge sitting by the rooms, get rid of them! Put them some place else. Let guest decide when they want help!
Location: Close to the party area and shopping-walking distance, short bus ride.
Had a blast, quick get away! All inclusive is the best. All the food and drink on premises are avail to you! Hotel property has a very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel appearance was very clean and modestly upscale. Themed restaurants we're very good considering the options. The food at the buffet and snack bars was just ok. The concierge by the room were a little annoying! We were only there for 2 1/2 days and it seemed like we wasted a bunch of time being hounded by solicitors trying to book free hotel pkg tours, excursions, or trying to sell you some way overpriced souvenirs (at the hotel and elsewhere at the shopping district). You can bargain them down but it's just annoying that they all do that! The Expedia guy on the hotel property was very rude.. He wanted to book my shuttle to the airport 3 1/2 hours before my flight at 4:30 in the morning.. The airport is 20 mins from the hotel my flight was at 8a.. He would not even make it for 5:30a, he said the only shuttle was at 5am and my only option was to take a private limo at a later time! You see where this is going!!! Ha Ha! We ended up getting to our gate 2hrs before our flight by taking the prepaid return shuttle at 5am. So basically our sleep time was held ransome by the Expedia guy trying to hustle a limo! He said we would have to leave so early because of other pick ups and possible traffic. Turns out there was no other pick ups or traffic! None the less had a great time would still recommend!
