Great value for money

Posted 10-Feb-2017
Cons: The only thing for me was the comfort of the sofa which was a little basic and tired.
Location: Very close to War Memorial and only about a 10 minute drive to National Library. Also close to shopping centre and restaurants.
I had to do research in Canberra and this Queen Apartment really fit the bill. Everything was clean and tidy, the air-conditioning a great relief on some particularly hot days and nights, and the kitchenette facilities were really useful after a long day of research. Free undercover parking and wifi were also appreciated as I needed to do work at night. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

It was OK..

Posted 31-Jan-2017
Pros: free wi-fi, parking, friendly staff, rooms were clean.
Cons: Kitchenette only had microwave. Spa suites give the impression there is a spa's or baths which is not the case.
Location: Being near shopping centre it was handy.
I got the spa suite (serviced apartment). The room was clean and cosy. I was a little disappointed there was no bath/spa. But I am guessing the name spa suite was just the name of the room and not descriptive. There was no oven or sink in the kitchenette. Just a small fridge and microwave. Staff were friendly, parking was great, free wi-fi was good and the rooms were serviced quickly when requested. It was worth the money I paid when I purchased the deal on tri-vargo but not what their regular price is advertised to be. Personally I think it is more a converted hotel than a serviced apartment.

Untrained staff.

Posted 28-Jan-2017
The short story. Untrained, unexperienced staff with no support. I had booked an individual night and rang to check, if we booked another we could stay in the same room. Our booking was based on whether this could happen. No problem. We turned up and were told. No. Even though the room on the 1st night was vacant for 5 days. The guy who booked me had 'gone to Euope the previous day'. Then we got a yes if we paid extra. No problem. 2 hours later we were instructed to cancel the 2nd night on expedia which was over the cancellation period. Then we were told we had to move rooms. Then we were refused a refund for the cash we paid for the upgrade. Which we eventualty got back after a long discussion. Totally ruined our stay. We had no idea what to do and the changing of the keys was complicated and moving rooms a nightmare as we put all our stuff in the car on a 38degree day.

Adequate if just leaving baggage and sleeping

Posted 08-Dec-2016
Pros: The bed and towels were clean. The hotel cleaning staff/groundspeople were lovely.
Cons: Air circulation - maybe air the rooms more often and have them thoroughly cleaned - deep carpet clean, fan covers, air conditioner servicing.
Location: Dickson shops are 10-15 minute walk away. A bus into the city leaves from the Dickson shop every half hour, plan transport
The (male) receptionist was dismissive and it was hard to hear what he was saying, the room (especially bathroom) was musty/dusty, shower stall was tiny, shower kept going cold randomly. The pool was freezing and the gym smelt moldy. This is not the place to stay if you have dust allergies/hayfever/asthma. If you do choose to stay here, keep your expectations low. Best if you have a car, public transport is not great from here.

Rooms we spacious and tidy, - pleasant stay. Reception took a bit to find the paperwork for our room and tried to charge us when it was prepaid, however, showed that it had come out of our bank and all was cleared. Reception staff could benefit from some extra training.

Economical apartments, 15 minutes from CBD.

Posted 15-Nov-2016 on Wotif
Location: Easy access to all tourist locations. Very good selection of Asian restaurants nearby and a large Tradies Club and Woolworths for supplies.
We prefer to rent an apartment for our holidays and these apartments were well appointed and cleaned each day. Our room was very quiet and the queen sized bed was very comfortable.
