Awesome hotel with great location

Posted 18-Sep-2016
Pros: 1. Location: The hotel is close to Dickson shops with 10 mins walk. 2. Extremely friendly staff . 3. Good wifi (FOC).
We enjoyed our stay in Parklands for 9 nights stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious with relaxed atmosphere, nice and quiet with blackout blinds. The one bedroom apartment had everything we need, kitchen with full kitchenette goods, a washing machine also available for guest to use. Extremely friendly staff and good wifi (FOC). We will be back definitely.

Went for an overnight stay with my lover. It was fine. Lost the AC remote for a few hours. Thought may have been ghost; later found in couch cushion. This is no fault of the parklands. I wish the bathroom had a small Raised lip to prevent the entire bathroom floor from getting wet though. I hate wet feeties.

It does the job

Overall it does the job, but the rooms are looking tired and could do with some work to freshen up.

Pros: the swimming pool
Cons: carpet, painting, furniture
Location: isolated
Paying a night 300$ for a two bedroom apartment is a budget... The hotel is far from anything (walking distance) and in poor condition, dirty carpet, furniture are old and wear. On the website, it is rated 4* but it is more a 2* type of hotel. The only positive is the indoor swimming in winter, but go there with your towel, they are not supplying any at the swimming pool. This hotel need a complete renovation....

Room too cold for Canberra winter !

Posted 17-Jun-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location
Cons: Heating
We stayed in the apartments in winter and the room was freezing, even though we had the central heating on 30. Would not stay here again especially winter and maybe summer would not be comfortable if the air con is as effective as the heating!

Clean, comfortable, near perfect

Posted 06-Jun-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, central location
Cons: Location of tvs didn't make sense.
Location: Near Dickson resteraunt precinct War Memorial only minutes away
Upon arrival we were great by a great staff member, she took the time to advise us where the best places to have dinner. Our room was clean and the king size bed was super comfortable. Indoor pool, under civer parking and its central location make this the perfect destination in Canberra.

Hotel close to allDickson facilities, shops, cafes

Posted 09-May-2016 on Wotif
Cons: See all above
We have been there before. This time stayed in 204. The room included a table to eat at but only one upright chair. Minimal cutlery, crockery: a microwave dish and a bowl for fruit and/or salad would have been appreciated. It is convenient to our family, and, for Canberra, not wickedly expensive. We would stay there again.
