Big rooms close to everything.

Posted 19-Apr-2016
We enjoyed our stay the Clifton. We had the two bedroom/two bathroom suite which was plenty big enough for a family of five. The pool and surrounds were pleasant and 25 metres is a great length for those that like to have a decent swim. Whilst the decour looked ok the quality of the finishes seemed a little tired Ie carpet edging and the sound quality of TVs was annoying, large bathrooms with tiny vanities were not all that practical for a traveller's use. The gym was much smaller than expected but still quite functionable for small number of people at a time. The location is great, with restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance and all of sites to see within a short drive. Overall the room was great if you are travelling with a group and not planning to spend a lot of time in your room.

Good location, easy access

Stay was comfortable but rooms are dated. Need upgrading to the whole apartment. Reception areas are very dated as well. More lifts are needed.

Close to Lonsdale Street for great coffee

Posted 07-Apr-2016
Pros: The hotel was close to where we wanted to walk and eat, and the rooms were very comfortable and well decorated.
Cons: Only that the bathroom didn't have a vanity that you could put your toiletries on, really just a basin, but it was a small annoyance.
Location: Centrally located. Great cafes and restaurants and pubs and it felt like there could have been a lot of nice places to visit.
We had a great time visiting National Gallery of Australia and the Australian Museum and strolling down Lonsdale Street and tasting great coffee and good restaurants. Wonderful Canberra autumn weather and the changing trees.

Great appartment

Posted 23-Mar-2016
Nice large 2 bed, 2 bathroom appartment with everything available. Serviced daily, clean towels & sheets if you want them. Nice pool with towels, but no hand rails for safe entry/exit, bit of a safety concern. Excellent staff, helpful & freindly. Good location for resturants & bottle shop across the road, but no supermarkets nearby. Free security parking a bonus when you book direct

Nice hotel for Canberra

Posted 22-Mar-2016
Pros: Staff are very helpful and friendly. I lost my mobile phone and the staff went out of their way to help me.
Cons: The corridors are exceptionally hot, a little cooler would be more pleasant.
Location: Lots of nice cafes and bars just around the back.
This is hotel is good for Canberra - has all the facilities that one would want and within walking distance of city centre and lots of nice eateries. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

old facilities

Posted 17-Mar-2016
I stayed at a room with lots of space, but most of the facilities are very old. The most annoying was the elevator. Some of the staff at the reception were very friendly but one young female staff I saw in the morning was not. I do not think I use this accommodation again.

Enjoyable stay close to Canberra city centre.

Posted 15-Mar-2016
Pros: Facilities in the apartment. Friendly and efficient staff. Convenience of parking on site.
Cons: I feel the apartments are great as is - and nothing really needs to be done.
Location: Walking distance to the city centre. Easy access from the car park to streets for excursions.
Our apartment, located on the 7th floor, was extremely comfortable. Cooking was a pleasure as the kitchen equipment was all that you could need for preparing meals. The apartment looked out over the distant hills and sunrise was especially beautiful. We were able to walk to the city centre for shopping and to enjoy a cup of coffee. The staff were very efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay again when next in the area.
