Lisa is accessible, helpful and kind Warm and friendly. The inn is cozy and elegant at the same time. A perfect respite and location to see the jewels of Maine of which this inn is one.

Dear Christina, Thank you so much for your very kind words about me and the inn. We are very fortunate to be located so close to all Camden has to offer.

great location and staff

Posted 19-Sep-2017
Pros: location and friendly staff. Loved having a king bed in our room. and the patio outside. She had a menu sheet every morning with lists of things to do
Cons: maybe put in small refrigerators in the rooms.
Location: We went sailing in the bay, ghost tour, Dahalia Farm. Botanical Garden at Booth Bay, Walked the shoreline path. , Battery Park view(must do) Sandbar.
Lisa the owner was wonderful. She was very helpful with ideas of things to do in the area and places to eat. Breakfast was wonderful. She had lots of nice touches in the b& b. bottled water in the room, bowl of fruits, chocolate in sitting area. Nice deck to eat breakfast on a warm sunny day. It was so handy to walk thru the backyard down to the waterfront.

Thank you so much for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. There is so much to see and do in the Camden area and we love sharing it with our guests. Thank you for the suggestion of the refrigerators. As we enter the slower season, we are evaluating what changes to make. We will add this to the list for consideration.

Nice B&B

Posted 15-Apr-2017
Ted and Lisa were very accommodating hosts. The location is excellent - short walking distance to the harbor, downtown shops and restaurants, and the awesome public library (check out the reading room). The Inn is very elegant, well kept, and our room (Caroline) was spacious and comfortable. Parking is well located and plentiful. The state park is a 5 minute drive north, with excellent hiking and gorgeous views of Penobscot Bay. Don't miss this either via car to the observation area or by ~2 mile hike even higher. $6 for out of state entry, and worth every penny. Breakfast was nice with accommodation for personal needs or desires. Afternoon cookies and coffee/tea were a nice touch as well, and we enjoyed spending time playing games and reading in the common areas. Great location, facilities and hospitality.

Beautiful Home, Great Service, Convenient Location

Posted 08-Dec-2016 on Hotels
This Victorian bed & breakfast met all our expectations and more. It's conveniently located near Camden's shopping district. The breakfasts were of gourmet caliber and the hosts went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed - even being aware of what a diabetic can eat for breakfast. It's a beautiful, luxurious home with tasteful decor and lots of books for guests to read, and even take home with them if they haven't finished it during their stay. We'll be staying at the Hawthorn in again.

Camden

Had a nice 2 night stay over the Labor Day weekend. Room was clean and relatively quiet. Breakfast was very good if not excellent. Location was within walking distance of downtown shopping and the harbor. Could not ask for more.
