Nice hotel, a few tweaks would make it greato.

Great welcome and reception staff excellent. Room okay, good size and great to have a bath and separate shower. But not easy to control heating and bedding not great quality. Also fridge no longer present. Restaurant hit and miss for breakfast. Clear difference on every day so down to who was in charge. Bar food okay, restaurant food we felt was quite expensive and over fussy. Shame the swimming pool wasn't bigger but sauna and steam room were great.

Hotel convenient for visiting family nearby

Generally ok but needs refurbishment, particularly bathroom and corridors

Close to Cambridge, clean, but not the best QHotel

Very friendly reception staff, great pool/spa, Christmas Party very noisey even on the 2nd Floor we could hear them, staff allow guests to smoke at entrance which meant when you entered revolving door you stank of smoke. At breakfast asked 3 times for pot of tea and had to go find it myself after 30mins.

Well appointed hotel

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was delicious and Adam and his fellow servers couldn't have been more helpful when we dined there on December 5.

The night was disturbed through several false fire alarm calls. The room had not been cleaned properly from biscuit crumbs that were found on the carpet. While at the weekend the breakfast buffet bar was slow due to long queues resulting in not being able to share breakfast satisfactorily with family members.

In respect to the fire alarms, one was during the night and although full evacuation wasn't not required I am sure you can appreciate that any activation of the alarm must be investigated. I am sorry that this disturbed your sleep. I will speak with the housekeeper to revisit her staff training. I note your comment about breakfast, we do have some peak times and endeavour to keep movement along the buffet, I am sorry on this occasion this impacted your breakfast. Thank you Darren T

Not Impressed

Location: Location was OK but the park and ride to Cambridge was 15 minutes drive away. Restaurant was full Sat eve but we found great Italian not too far away
Check in staff were very good. Initial impression was that the hotel was OK. Unfortunately the bar/lounge and restaurant did not meet our expectations expected of a 4 star hotel. Constantly met with spa day females wanderings around bare footed with at best bathrobes and in some cases just towels wrapped around them. Most unpleasant as they left wet chairs behind then for other guest to sit on unknowingly. Breakfast was disorganised and chaotic with insufficient staff. Waited for at least ten minutes to order tea/coffee. Good was either undercooked or baked so hard it was inedible.

I am sorry to read that Spa guests were in such attire, there is a dress code, however I will reiterate to the Team to ensure this is in future adhered to.
