Management failure - part 2

The non-functioning front desk turned out not to be the only problem. I was double-charged and their accounting dept won't respond. I paid by Expedia, and after check out the hotel used my credit card to charge me again. Expedia has repeatedly tried without success to contact the hotel to correct this. STAY AWAY until the management problems are rectified.

Good hotel , food ok , good value for money

Cons: Shower only cold water came out , reported this but could not be looked at until the next day
Location: Great food local pub or Napalise
Generally a good experience , food , room and conference room very good

Management failure

Very nice hotel. Our sole problem was that the front desk did not answer the phone for 2 hours. While they later claimed that they were busy, it's incredible that management hasn't explained that answering the phone isn't optional at a full service hotel. Seems like our view is similar to many reviewers that the physical plant is very good but the staff training is poor.

Had four days here. The staff were very attentive.

Pros: Being comfortable & relaxed.
Cons: Signage. Completely missed it and literally drove around the houses looking for.
Location: If without a car, there is a bus stop across the road that will take you to centre of Cambridge
Had a good stay. Used the swimming pool and Jacuzzi which was all very clean. The standard room we booked was clean, comfortable & big enough for us. Great choice of food at breakfast, they even had a pancake making machine, didn't use it but something different. We used the restaurant every night while there and the food was cooked lovely.I particularly liked the cod with red pesto. A couple of thank you's to Conner who worked in the restaurant & Alysa, their customer service was exceptional.

Great stay

We stayed for two nights while attending a wedding nearby. Our room was comfortable, well equipped (a fan and a free standing heater were available) with a clean, well-lit bathroom. A heated multi towel rail that was HOT! and a heated mirror that was a brilliant idea as no condensation problems. Huge choice for breakfast; buffet style but at least you can ensure your toast is hot as you do it yourself! We would definitely stay here again if in the area

Could do better on food

Enjoyed the hotel but breakfast could have been better. Food was tepid rather than hot and had to ask for a pot of tea when everyone else entering the dining room was automatically offered it. Not good customer service.

Ideal hotel to explore Cambridge and surroundings

Pros: Location, its proximity to Cambridge without being in the centre. The spa and the meals. Excellent breakfast and lovely evening meals.
Cons: Check in was a little haphazard
Location: It was easy to find from the M11, the Morrisons is handed for any forgotten items. We only explored The city itself as there was so much to see.
The hotel is 10 minutes from the park and ride that takes you straight into the centre of Cambridge. After a great day exploring the city it was great to go back to relax in the hot tub and take a gentle swim, followed by a quite evening meal.

comfortable hotel

We just had an overnight stay , breakfast was buffet style and delicious. Town was very built up, new , and seemed to go round in circles to find hotel.
