Hot Hot Hot

A reasonable hotel on the edge of cambridge and handy for Papworth Hospital. Staffs are lovely and helpful, the hotel itself is a little dated and could do with new furniture and carpets etc. Most of the hall carpets have holes in through wear and tear The room was clean, but my word it was so hot, there is no air con and the rooms are clearly nuclear powered. The fans provided merely blow hot air over you, it was pretty difficult to sleep. Staff were the saving grace, its fine for a night basically a big premier inn with a spa, but due to the room temp and lack of air con no ore that that

Lovely Hotel. Nice and quiet

We stayed in the Belfry for a weekend for a wedding in longstowe. It was a beautiful hotel. The room was big enough for us. The grounds were also lovely with a beautiful view from the breakfast room.

Nice hotel,pity there was NO room telephone

Pros: comfortable and handy location
Cons: provide telephone in room 337
Location: very handy for major store
business trip so only required room to sleep in, but hassle having to order room service at the main desk

Pros: Convenient for our visit to friends
Cons: Corridor needed a vacuum-looked as if it had not been done for days. Also,tables in bar should be cleaned more frequently,beer stains,dust,etc.
Did not have an experience! Had an overnight and that was it.

Good hotel, but disappointing breakfast for a weekday morning - slow service so waited a long time to be seated, which is not great when you are trying to leave early to beat the traffic. Fruit was mostly tinned and lots of things ran out without being replenished. I have stayed here before a year or two ago and the breakfast was much better then, with fresh chopped fruit and lovely pastries - neither of which were there this time. Expensive food in the bar in the evening - for really tiny portions. Not a great deal of choice for food within walking distance locally (sandwich from Morrisons or a curry house). Reception staff very pleasant. Room recently refurbished - good supply of tea / coffee / milk/ biscuits. My room overlooked the carpark so there was some noise later in the evening. The drive into Cambridge in the morning was frustrating - the first few miles were fine, then queueing all the way down Madingley Road to the Park and Ride for 30+ mins, even when leaving the hotel at 7.30am - this is the major downside of the hotel if you need to get into central Cambridge.

Hi my only bad comment is that the mixed berries were served far too conl for breakfast they should of been allowed to defrost longer. I was not expecting them to be so cold. Other then that all good. I also think its a lot of money to charge £7.00 to hire a robe for a day
