Quite an old fashioned feel to the hotel, rather faded grandeur. However, it had all the facilities one would expect. Helpful staff, and a good cooked breakfast, although the ' Continental' ham and cheese selection was a bit meagre.
Staff welcoming and pleasant, room small but very clean with everything you could need, bathroom nice and big with shower. Parking on site which is always a bonus and a great complimentary breakfast. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was lovely a quiet.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a coach party arriving so staff came and asked us to order our meal early so that we did not get caught up which was very thoughtful.
The only problem was when we checked in they told us Expedia had cancelled our reservation ...luckily the hotel managed to find us a room, so full marks to the hotel no points to Expedia. Drinks & food expensive but meal deal was good value. Breakfast was very expensive but good quality. People say ...
