"Visit to family"
This was a quick overnight stay to see family and friends. We found the staff very pleasant and friendly, the room was excellent, clean and the facilities more than adequate. We did however have one small problem in the early hours with the room next door. They had obviously been out drinking for some time and decided to keep the party going well after 1 am in the morning. All credit to the night staff, he immediately went to the room and sorted the situation out. A real credit and highly professional member of staff. The breakfast next morning was again excellent and with a choice that many hotels do not provide. All in all a nice and friendly hotel and staff.

"Wonderful combination of Cambridge College & hotel"
Set in stunning extensive grounds and gardens designed by Capability Brown, this is one of Cambridge best kept, best value secrets. Offering a sanctuary of quiet, wonderful historic college building and modern upgraded rooms with good facilities, Madingley Hall offers 5 star service. Sharing facilities with Uni post grads, it offers a "college" like atmosphere that is thoroughly "Cambridge". Depending on concurrent courses, rooms may be few to find. The rooms are small and simply furnished, modernised and comfortable. The Terrace bar has coffee and cold water freely available and a well stocked staffed bar. Dinner available in the evenings which is excellent value and good quality. Breakfast is above any hotel standard. Locally sourced free range eggs, local sausages, wonderful croissants, choice of cereals, veggie options, fruit etc. Lots of parking available. Historic architecture everywhere. If you don't need to stay in the centre of the city and want to enjoy what is special about Cambridge, then stay here (if there is a vacancy). Less than half the price of usual poor standard Cambridge accommodation and a wonderful real college quality.

"Fading grandure"
We booked one of the larger rooms. The room was spacious and elegant. The weather was about normal for March, but the room was way too hot, and the hotel staff were not able to turn down the heating. For our second night we were able to open the windows and control the temperature that way.

"Good hotel with staff that care"
Having stayed at this hotel a number of times now for business, I will choose this one over some of the others from chain hotels, why, because the people that work,in it remember who you are, they go out their way to help you, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, gym is good and the food is good, for me it's about customer care and my experience has been very good.

Pocket Guide: Business Hotels in Cambridgeshire

The county of Cambridgeshire in East Anglia has a range of hotels suited to those travelling on business. From four star chain hotels in Cambridge and Huntingdon to independent hotels in Peterborough, there are options available to suit all budgets, whether you're attending a conference at Madingley Hall or meeting clients in the area.

    Affordable Business Hotels in Cambridgeshire

You'll find a number of chain hotels in Cambridgeshire which offer value-for-money accommodation for those travelling on business, as well as a range of amenities designed to make your life easier if you're travelling with work. Many of these larger hotels offer access to a 24-hour business centre and meeting rooms as well as a conference centre and event facilities. Free self-parking is available at most hotels, so you don't need to rely on public transport, and some hotels have their own restaurant, bar/lounge and coffee shop, perfect for catching up on some work or entertaining clients.

Hotels Close to Cambridge's Meeting and Conference Venues

Madingley Hall is one of Cambridge's premier meeting and conference venues. Located just 4 miles from the centre of Cambridge, this 16th century country house boasts 14 meeting rooms and is an hour's drive from London. The gardens here were designed by 'Capability' Brown and span seven acres. Those looking for hotels close to Madingley Hall should consider spa hotels and chain hotels in Cambridge city centre. Most offer free parking and amenities such as a full-service spa, fitness centre and 24-hour front desk, making life easier if you're rushing from meeting to meeting.

    Excellent Amenities for Business Guests

Cambridgeshire's hotels are packed with excellent amenities aimed at business guests. Those visiting the county on business will find that hotels offer conference and events facilities as well as business centres. Smaller independent hotels may not have these facilities, but they still provide amenities such as free newspapers in the lobby, a dry cleaning service and free WiFi, so you can catch up on work in between meetings, as well as desks in guest bedrooms. These hotels are not only suitable for business guests, they're great for families and couples too.
