"Nice hotel close to harvard"
Clean, comfort and neat. A little worry about the bathroom, because there is only one and no lock, which is shared by at least 4 customers.

"Cozy and Unique!"
My wife and I stayed at the Kendall Hotel for 2 nights while our son was at a swim meet at M.I.T. pool, which is an easy walk. The hotel was ultra cool! Our room was one of the original dormitory rooms used by the firemen, and was unlike any hotel room we've ever seen. Somewhat tiny (fine for the 2 of us) and oddly shaped -- kind of like an attic bedroom with slanted ceilings and small alcoves everywhere. The comfortable queen bed was nestled in a small cubby off of the main sitting room. We were in the front part of the building -- the original firehouse -- but everything was totally modernized and pristine. Carpeting, paint, electrical, plumbing, free WiFi, 2 flat screen TV's with HD cable ... all state-of-the-art and extremely comfortable. (The rooms in the back "tower" part of the hotel are much bigger than the one we stayed in, but we actually liked our cozy nest just fine!) The entire hotel has to be seen to believed -- a real historical landmark, and decorated with unique artwork and artifacts from its Firehouse history. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic. We will absolutely stay there again -- LOVED IT!!!

Mary Prentiss Inn

"Still a nice place to stay"
This recent stay at Mary Prentiss Inn [MPI] was a 'follow-up' to our earlier September visit to this Inn. It was a really nice stay once again. Quaint and historic with some modern niceties for comfort. Breakfast is truly consistently delicious and ample servings. What is such a reflection of the warmth in this Inn is the staff that works there. Such really warm, nice, courteous and accommodating folks! Some of the staff have been employed over ten years at MPI. Strongly recommend MPI for a really nice stay in the historic Cambridge area.

"Best location in Cambridge"
A very comfortable, convenient place to stay. Restaurant options within Charles Sq. are great. Only the hard chair at the desk in my room was uncomfortable, over a couple hours computer work. Housekeeping staff very nice to leave my bed in the 'unmade' state I prefer.

"Close to Cambridge amenities"
Le Meridien has a very kind and competent staff which made check-in quick and a pleasure. The hotel is well-situated, close to shops as well as public transport. The room was quiet and warm, which is perfect for this snowy time of the year. Oh - and the wifi is great.

"Great bed and breakfast in Cambridge"
This is a private home that rents rooms. My room was extremely comfortable. Location in residential area on a tree lined street and within walking distance from MIT and Harvard makes it extremely quiet and convenient. Hosts were extremely gracious, I had the house and room key handed to me when I arrived and I could come and go as I please. Breakfast is fantastic (much better than at any hotel) and available for you to self-serve (practically you have the kitchen and supplies at your disposal to cook whatever you want if wishing a warm breakfast or eat fruit, sandwiches and cereals if in a rush).
