I was drawn to this hotel because of its connection to General Eisenhower, but what I found was a hotel in great need of an overhaul. The location is fine, the neighborhood is fine, and there are some nearby restaurants and attractions that are fine. But, the hotel has seen better days.

Far exceeded our expectations
We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. As it is a 2 star we expected very little but received far more. It was exceptionally clean, the room was very clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and the location was perfect.

Very good basic hotel
Basic hotel with what we (2 adults and one child) required for two nights before we got the ferry back to England. Amazing location to hang out in Port en Bessin and to visit the Normandy beaches, Bayeux and more.

I stayed at the Eisenhower Hotel for one night during my visit to the Normandy region. It’s a great hotel if you are just wanting a nice place to sleep at night. It’s within walking distance to all the shops and cafes you could ask for. My room was on the second floor and it opened up onto the (shared) balcony. The room was spacious with a large bed. The room was exactly what I was looking for, a spacious room close to all the action that wouldn’t break the bank! I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Very happy with our stay. Somewhat basic but as described. Very friendly staff. Right in the center of town. Parking was somewhat limited but we found a free spot across the street. Would stay here again

Overpriced and shoddy
A run down hotel with no facilities or lifts. The room was shoddy with ceiling damage and a broken shower attachment. The staff decided to refurb the room upstairs at 1am,I thought the room was being raided as the noise was terrible, they even threw two beds from the window onto the grass from about 29ft.

Nice hotel
This place isn’t the ritz. It’s basic but it’s a very good basic. If what you want is a roof and a bed and a door that locks then this place is excellent. Clean and tidy and a no nonsense room for the night. If you want all the whistles and bells then keep looking. Port-en-Bennin is a beautiful spot too.

The hotel is small basic and clean. For the price I was really happy. The staff were friendly upon check in and helpful providing somewhere to leave all 3 bikes. The room itself was basic and clean and good value for money with towels and basic toiletries provided ... It was in a good location and seconds from some good restaurants in a small town. Very happy.

Decent location/room/breakfast for a 2 star.
We were originally given a small room for three people that was too cramped. We asked for a larger room and we were offered a six person room but in the back part of the hotel that was not remodeled, but it was fine with us, since we didn't want to be packed into a tiny room with three people. The TV never worked but the beds were fine. Nothing fancy, as it is just a 2 star. Breakfast was better than expected with traditional European rolls, ham, cheese, yogurt, and croissants. Location was pretty good, as it was just a short drive to Omaha beach and a lot of the museums.

TV was broken, no batteries in the remote, Wifi was terrible. No staff around to help with anything. The Rooms are supposed to be non-smoking but they smelled like smoke.

Best suited to backpackers / young and fit
Was just about OK but beware - parking for 4 cars only first come basis - overflow public parking about 300m away and hard to find; two steep stairs, one outdoor timber construction more like a ladder than a stairs, to get to room - no lift. Room clean and comfortable. Did not eat so cant comment. Very centrally located.
