Close to Ferry
Good hotel for the money, food wasn’t bad. Had the evening meal from the set menu. Burnt a slick operation and the staff don’t hang around! Very good for the Ouistreham Ferry.

No coffee/tea making facilities in room. No shampoo/conditioner in bathroom. (Washing hair in shower gel a poor experience!) Breakfast was adequate but underwhelming. Will not be making a return visit

Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence.Indeed, the courtesy tray is no longer mandatory for the brand since August 2022. However, a person is present 24 hours a day at the reception in order to be able to serve you if you want a hot drink.However, for our breakfast, we offer different breads (baguettes, figs, cereals, etc.), pastries (croissant, pain au chocolat, and pain aux raisins), brioche, cereals (cornflakes and coco pops, muesli), cottage cheese, ham and compote with accompaniments (jams, honey, Nutella, butter ...). Fresh fruit depending on the season, boiled eggs (only on request) ... We are open to energy breakfasts with a multitude of topping combinations to compose your own breakfast. We have also responded to a silent clientele by offering non-allergenic products (soy milk, gluten-free, pork-free charcuterie, etc.). With the multitude of choices, we offer and our all-you-can-eat buffet, we don't think more cake was necessary. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.Sincerely,

A small seat box. Very noisy.
We arrived off the Ferry and it was dark. Poor outside lighting. I rented a triple room my my husband and we have a disabled child 17. Room was tiny. Difficult to get around bed. The room was very hot. No air con. Asked for a fan. No fans. Told to open window. Room overlooked a very noisy bar. It there was loud noise until 2am. Then people talking loud outside window. We. Got no sleep!

A quick visit of two nights to see the DDay beaches. Very helpfull staff , very clean. Massive beds.Good for eating out in the area and the beach.

A really Welcoming and warm place when we arrived at 11pm. Spotless room and excellent breakfast. It is very well placed as overnight stop for a ferry traveller or someone wanting to explore the area.

This hotel is ultra convenient for the ferry port, overall the hotel was very clean and well located for local shops & restaurants. Rooms were comfortable and exceptionally clean, and we loved the overall decor and friendliness of the staff (unfortunately the restaurant was closed as chef was on holiday!!! which they could have pre-warned us about, but it was only a 10 minute walk into town).

The receptionist was very helpful, spoke good English and anticipated any cultural differences. The room was small but comfortable and sensibly designed. Breakfast very good. I would recommend the hotel especially as a rest over for anyone using the ferry to/from the UK

Staying at Ibis, Ouistreham
Have been to several Ibis hotels which were better. Restaurant could have been better as it was very limited for choice and quite expensive for very basic food. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in room. When going from Ouistreham again will choose another hotel.

Property is in need of updating. It’s called an Ibis Style but there is not a lot of style in the property. The rooms are looking tired. The only reason you would stay here is that it is very close to the ferry terminal. The staff were very friendly though.

Not so Stylish Ibis Style
The room was very cramped and had unnecessary furniture in it. The bathroom had a bath rather than the requested shower and it was almost impossible to look out of the window due to the room's design. There was a restaurant, however the menu was extremely poor and we had to go into town to find somewhere better to eat.

Very convenient and clean hotel. Paid parking a bit of a nonsense as wasn't secure as advertised, and also room very very small, but comfortable

OK, but needs updating
This is a nice hotel, really close to the port and so it is in a really good location for travellers, especially if you are on foot, although it has ample parking too. The hotel has a nautical / ship theme in that all the floors are labelled "decks". The rooms have a porthole window in the bathroom, but like a cabin, they are also quite compact. In fairness to the ferries and cruise ships I have stayed in, their cabins are bigger as you will see by the space around the bed in my photos. The rooms do have a big bed, although it is two singles beds pushed together and unsecured. A gap opened up in mine, so I kept to one side. The rooms need updating. From the decor to the fittings. If the owner applied a fresh paint job and new carpet, it could help. While the room and the bed are very clean, the condition of the tired carpets and the tired paint make it feel like it is not. My room was cold and there were no operating instructions for the storage heater. The cold could have been bearable if there was an extra blanket, but there was none in the room. The bathroom was very good. Plenty of clean and fluffy towels and a good shower, although, the old heater and hair dryer just reminded you that the room is in need of updating. The staff are very nice and helpful and the breakfast was nice. It is my second time here and I will come back to stay here and I would recommend it, but for the prices paid for accommodation, I would expect a bit of money to be spent on the appearance.

A Place To Crash
We stayed for a night after our ferry was cancelled due to strong winds. The hotel is strategically located next to the Ouistreham ferry port, and within walking distance to The Great Bunker WWII museum. The check-in process was smooth, but the hotel is a bit scary at night as the lights were all turned off to conserve energy. You have to walk for a few seconds into the hallway before it will come back on. The rooms were comfortable but there were no tea nor coffee in the room; those were offered in the lobby. A bit inconvenient but not too big of a deal for us. Continental breakfast was offered with plenty of loaves of bread. If you like bread the breakfast will be perfect; if not the breakfast is a bit on the limiting side as there were only a few cheese/ ham/ yogurt options to select from. Overall, a pleasant stay if you need to crash in the area.

My memory of previous stay was of a friendly helpful place with good views but this time it was all business without a smile requesting extra money for tax and car park, small room at the back.
