With a few little tweaks this idyllic chateau could be truly top-notch. It's quirky, but elegant. Pros: Beautiful grounds, tennis courts, little bistro tables scattered about. Friendly staff. Bathroom on #14 was large and the hot towel rack was so luxurious. Quiet. Beds and linens very comfortable. Housekeeping did a nice job refreshing the room when we wanted, but left us alone when we didn't. Cons: Sometimes there's a language barrier. The restaurant service was stellar and the setting was gorgeous, but the food was average. We had beef carpaccio, salad with bacon, steamed salmon and steamed sea bass and a brownie with caramel sauce. It's a decent option if you don't want to walk 18 minutes into town. The room had 4 packets of tea and it would be 50 cents per package after that. Seems petty and nit-picky. The larger garbage can was for paper, while the small bathroom can was for everything else. Again, odd. There's an elegant water dispenser in the reception area flanked by a cabinet with European adapters and knick knacks. It all sounds trivial, but it detracts from the potential upscale experience. There are updated lighting options, plugs, entry locks, shower fixtures then there's a seat cushion hole in the elegant lounge. Details matter. The stairway is gorgeous, but the elevator makes the upper floors accessible with luggage. If you're walking from the train (< 20 min) you will have to carry your bags down the gravel driveway. Lovely stay, but could be stellar!

Furniture in our room was rickety. The tub had no safety mat, grab bar or even partial curtain to allow a standing shower. The paid staff was friendly and helpful. The owners did not seem so. The breakfast was mediocre. Many items were not refilled. Even no water. Empty jam jar without refills. Given the choice we would have left for a different property. Utside landacape needed attention

Veey cool property, buildings and accomodations. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment in the carriage house and the entire family loved it. It was a very quick ride, less than 5 minutes into downtown.

Quaint, Beautiful property. Clean, modern bathrooms in an old French charming chateau. Only thing is the description of the beds are incorrect and we ended up paying for an extra room unnecessarily. It was too late to cancel when we got there and realized we didn't need it bc the beds were described wrong.

Beautiful property. The staff and owner went out of their way to taxi us to town when the taxi did not arrive. Great charm. Meals there went excellent. You won't be disappointed in the property.

Relaxing and stafff friendly
Good. Room had a body odor when we arrived. Sparyed with Frebreeze which helped. Also, needed to schedule a taxi ride into town for an early morning excusion. Staff anot available to assist the eveining befor or in the AM and walked.

It took my wife and I almost an hour to find the hotel as google maps took us to a different part of the town with the same address. The room smelt slightly damp and the bed was not comfortable. The breakfast was very good

A great find in Bayeux
A classic French hotel with a wonderful restaurant, this was a great place to stay in Bayeux. The garden and grounds on a summer evening could not have been more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was comfortable.

Great place to stay in Bayeux
Great place to stay - remarkably cheap too. We had a duplex family room in the annex next to the main building, but was very large, very well decorated and would have slept 5, with two bathrooms. You could walk into Bayeux if you wanted but it’s easier to drive into the city (5 mins max). Only point to note is that despite what it says on the hotels.com listing, there is definitely no swimming pool!

Beautiful property. Adult daughters felt they were staying in a fairly tale chateau! Noemi at reception was super friendly and very fun to speak with. Ask her about Batman!

Staff at the chateau were accommodating and helpful. It did appear that they were understaffed in that the same young woman working the dining room was also responsible for front desk responsibilities. The main building is beautiful with an elegant sitting room, dining room, and breakfast area. The outer building room where we stayed, accommodating four adults was clean and comfortable. I will say that room 22 could use a bigger sink and a vanity. There is plenty of room for it. In all it was a clean, comfortable, safe place to spend a few nights while in Bayeux. Although appearing to be in the countryside, it is an easy walk to the beautiful town center and its many shops and restaurants.

Odd configuration with duplex- toilet on first floor but no shelf to place toiletries and the shower/sink upstairs bathroom which is a decent 30 stairwell. No water pressure in shower and dirty grout populated on tiles. Otherwise very clean. Dinner solid but had nothing to drink for 45 min as the server was busy with other diners- lovely woman but perhaps add pitcher of water to tables and/or check to see if guests would like wine with dinner and not only with appetizers. Waited so long for check post dessert that we finally left.

Gorgeous property. You felt like you were an honored guest at a summer garden castle. It was lovely sitting outside, relaxing, and having apéritives from the restaurant bar after a long, interesting but emotionally hard day of visiting the Normandy D-day sites. The view of the Bayeux Cathedral over the river that runs by the castle is beautiful. We also enjoyed a late dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and prepared quickly. We spent the late evening enjoying the way the gardens and chateau were illuminated.it was just a quick drive in the morning to see the Bayeux tapestry. We stayed in the larger Annex, which had a lovely garden view and tennis courts right behind a private patio. These rooms would be great for a small family if the children are old enough to use the stairs as it is on three levels. The bedding and beds were excellent. My only complaint is that the small couch in the upper room with the double bed was a bit dirty.

My brother, SIL and I stayed here for 3 nights in early June 2023. We had a townhouse like room for 3 persons in the annex. I was on the top floor, the very modern shower and double sinks were off the stair landing and the toilet was on the bottom floor. So I had to always go down stairs to use either room. No toilet in the main bathroom on the landing. So, be warned! The bed was comfortable, the scenery and gardens beautiful. The main problem, besides getting up in the night to go down 2 sets of stairs to the toilet, was the ants that invaded the 2nd day we were there into the main floor and my brother and SIL's bed! The staff were very responsive and came to spray, but my SIL was freaked out from then on. For the price we paid, ants were not expected!

Lovely hotel and serene garden. Conveniently located near Bayeux and all there is to see around there. Dinner in hotel restaurant was great. A little understaffed since the same people who run the front desk seem to deal with the restaurant service as well. Recommended

CHARMING and very wonderful staff. The waitress was especially nice to us. So was the front desk receptionist. He really tried to help us find another hotel for the following night however it was a long holiday weekend. Loved everything about this hotel!

A slice of heaven in Bayeux! The high ceilings, well appointed rooms and bathroom were a welcome sight for weary travelers, but the nature sounds that lull you to sleep each night were the highlight of this location.

Overall lovely place to stay. Staff was great, breakfast good. Had dinner one night and it was good. Would be nice for family as there is a nice area for play. Also tennis court on the property. Not good if you want a lot of restaurants and shops close by. We were on the top floor and it was slightly musty smelling. The room and bathroom were quite large and comfortable.
