Great hotel just a ten minute walk from the centre

Posted 20-Aug-2016
The staff were exceptional and friendly. We had dinner in the hotel and were most impressed with the service and the food. The room was clean and comfortable and has a nice modern shower which was powerful and warm. There's tea and coffee facilities also. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Quiet Hotel - very close to Bayeux

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Very quiet room (solid concrete walls) clean and presentable. Stayed overnight enroute to Dieppe. Great accommodation for my wife, 3 yr old and myself and out needs. Bayeux Tapestry 10 min walk.

Good location, bad beds

Posted 28-Jul-2016
The location was fine, and the staff was good. The room was clean, but we tossed and turned all night on the very hard beds. You could feel each spring. To make matters worse, every time either one of us moved it moved the whole bed, causing the other to wake up. We both got just a few hours of sleep.

Close to Normandy Museum & center of town

Posted 01-Jun-2016
Pros: Staff, room, and breakfast buffet.
Cons: Could use 2 towels per person or at least a hand towel and bath towel per person.
Location: Cathedral, Normandy museum, tapestry museum, British cemetery. tours to Mont St Michel & D-day tours.
Hotel newly renovated so rooms were so clean and done in a nice basic decor, like IKEA style. Staff was very nice and so helpful. Situated right up the block from Normandy museum & British cemetery. Depending on your pace is less than 10 minutes to town center. Is less expensive to stay here than in town by cathedral and they are so close so worth the 5 minute walk. Had a very nice buffet breakfast and again displayed so great with nice offerings to eat. Definitely recommend this hotel!!

Good choice

Posted 24-May-2016 on Hotels
We enjoyed our stay here. Everyone was very helpful esp. letting us know about a train strike that allowed us to change our ticket for our journey to Paris. Campanile Bayeux is located perfectly for walking in the town. The cathedral in Bayeux is a must see! They have a restaurant for breakfast that is handy before leaving for all day tours. The room was clean and perfect for our one night stay in Bayeux

Great new reasonably priced hotel.

Posted 06-May-2016 on Hotels
Campanile Bayeux is a great example of a new reasonably priced hotel just a few steps from the city center. Located just across from the ring road and in view of the Cathedral, the room was clean, the bedding comfortable, the bathroom decent size. Hand gel and body/shampoo gel are provided along with bath towels; no other toiletries or towels are included. There is a hair dryer. The various receptionists were friendly and helpful and all spoke very good English. Elodie was especially attentive in helping us to resolve a car rental return problem. Breakfast at just over 9 euros was plentiful: fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, cheese, ham, jellies as well as coffee, tea, hot and cold milk and orange and apple juice. The selection was replenished often. There is a selection of free magazines to peruse. The wifi was weak at times; it was slow when the two people in the room were using it simultaneously. We didn't try to the TV.

Fine for sleeping

We stayed five nights for a holiday with car in Normandy. The hotel was within walking distance of the city center and with easy access to the main roads going to and from Bayeux, which was perfect for our needs.
