Airport (TQO) 9.2/10 Wonderful! (366 reviews) What a great hotel! 20 min walk to the main action in Tulum. The jungle suite was spacious, and the private dip pool was hard to beat. The service and staff are great. I’d stay again. I’d otherwise give 5 stars, but the staff gives mixed messages about how the Expedia credit works. It lead to the on site (but unaffiliated!) Fara Fara restaurant staff lying to us and telling us that they were included in the credit multiple time up until the moment the bill came. I needlessly spent money at that restaurant, starting my vacation off on a bad note. The hotel could be better about explaining what qualifies for the credit AND ensuring that unaffiliated restaurants do not lie to guests to scam them out of money. The hotel will not refund you for this, only keep open the existing unused credit for their affiliated services. Airport (TQO) 9.6/10 Exceptional! (408 reviews) My stay was wonderful! The staff were WONDERFUL and extremely professional. Perfect location inside the Tulum National Park. I traveled there solo for some RnR and felt very safe in the park. I went on regular walks by myself throughout the day. The hotel itself is VERY quiet and beautiful scenery. I ate all my meals at the hotel. Food is AMAZING! I’m a food snob so that means a lot coming from me. Beaches were in walking distance. Snorkeling was just a 15 min walk away. The room itself was clean and the property well kept. If you want to see the Mayan Ruins, it’s a 40 min walk (can also bike or use the shuttle) and keep in mind the Ruins close at 3:30\. My only recommendation is to somehow soundproof the spa area. The ladies in the spa were wonderful. However I could hear when another guest came in to inquire about the spa, I heard when a car drove by, but I also heard birds chirping which I did like. Other than that, it was a great experience.
