It cozy, lots of trees. Room is clean. Aircon is just a little noisy and wakes me up when it turns on.

The office staff very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking, close walking distance to downtown. Room very clean with all the amenities. Furnishings a tad on the older side but functional. The bed was not comfortable. But overall I would recommend this motel.

Please let us know next time and we can provide a very plush pillow-topper on your bed. I'm happy to hear you felt the room was clean and provided the amenities you desire, our furniture style is traditional, however, in the past 2 years we have installed new carpet, draperies, lamps, phones, soft goods, and numerous other amenities. The property is nice, though pool was a bit smaller than I thought and warmer than I thought. What bothered me the most was that we received an email about a week prior to my stay that indicated an upgrade for the King Suite for an additional $150/night, which I called in and inquired about and confirmed changing my reservation. Then when I arrived, I specifically asked if I was only being charged an additional $300 (for the 2-night stay), and was told yes. When checking out however, the price changed to double that because my reservation was "made through Expedia but next time I could get a better rate." The room and facilities are nice, but I felt a bit like I was tricked into paying more than I anticipated.

Lisa, I'm sorry if you feel "tricked," I think there may have been some misunderstanding. Your original rate for the 2 queen beds was $261 per night pre-tax. When you "upgraded" to the Jacuzzi Suite, the increase was $150/night pre-tax, which would put the rate at $411/night, however, we charged you $410 per night pre-tax. Any guest that "upgrades" from a Classic room to our Jacuzzi Suite incurs a $150/night charge no matter how they booked the room, directly with us or an OTA. You were not charged "double" for being an Expedia customer.

The beds were comfortable and we really loved the location. We wish that one of the pools was cooler than 95 degrees...would've been nice to have 1 pool at 75 or 80 degrees since it was 96 outside.

David, Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay overall. The large outdoor pool should have been at 92 degrees since that typically feels refreshing even when the outdoor air temperature is 95-100 degrees. If indeed the pool reached 95 degrees, that is too warm and I apologize. When we monitor the upcoming temperatures, we purposefully add very little hot water at the start of the day knowing the outdoor air will warm considerably and the sun will increase the pool temperature several degrees. A temperature of 75 or 80 degrees is actually extremely cool and would be considered a "cold plunge," since our body temp is 98.6, it wouldn't take very long for your body to develop goosebumps and some people would even begin shaking with cold if they didn't get out to warm themselves, thus the reason we vary the temperature summer to winter. Once again, if the pool was actually 95 degrees, I apologize that does feel like bathtub warm and not what we hope to achieve for our guests. I do hope we have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

Nice but needs updating

We had a nice time at this hotel. I wouldn’t call it a resort though. The best thing about the property was the beautiful landscaping, including palm trees and flowers. Our room, while clean, was very dated and desperately in need of remodeling. We wished the outdoor pool was not so warm (92 degrees!) and other guests we talked to shared that opinion. The pool was not refreshing and too small to swim. We did enjoy our massages on the property.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Our standard rooms have been updated in the past year and half with new custom carpet, drapes, lamps, phones, furniture touch-up and numerous other soft good upgrades, I'm sorry our style doesn't resonate with you. Our Superiore or Splendido rooms may be more to your liking. In regards to our pool temperature, 92 degrees is a preferred temperature for the majority of our guests in the summer months since it is a refreshing temperature (body temp at 98.6). These are soaking pools and have never suggested they are for swimming. As a resort that focuses on the geothermal aspects of health and wellness which includes our spa, we vary our temperatures to match European and Roman traditions of gradually heating the body and then returning to a cool plunge. Again, I'm sorry we don't meet your desires, however, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your massages. I hope we might have the opportunity to serve you again in the future in one of our other accommodation types.
