Lovely week in the sun in January, swam in the sea once (coolish) and the outdoor heated pool daily (fine). Loved the junior suite with 2 rooms, 2 balconies, double basin, spa bath and shower too, fleecy bath robes, 2 TVs. All the staff smiled and were helpful. The food (HB) was surprisingly good, and varied each day. My main complaint was the discipline required not to eat too much, and I still gained 2kg.
good location close to the beach easy walking distance to the main shops and bars but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Good size apartment with large balcony overlooking the pool very pleasant. The apartment did get hot in the middle of the day because it is south facing.
Lovely hotel - very big and you may have to walk long distances from room to restaurant etc! Popular with families so rampaging children can be a problem.
Restaurants good, although inexplicably always said to be "full" in evenings when not the case, and never all open at same time. Breakfast buffet excellent but staff always seemed to "forget" spoons, cups, coffee etc.
Easy access to beach and a pleasant chiringuito bar on a small "island" accessed by a bridge from the promenade.
Caleta del Fuste town is about 15 mins walk - not a lot to see.
The Hotel is in a quiet area with not much around but that's what we wanted its a nice walk along the coastal path to the nearest resort, the Hotel apartments are just fine clean and well laid out, the pool is just outside next to the outside bar, the Staff in the Hotel are all very polite and most helpful, the restaurant food in the hotel is nothing special but you can get as much as you like.
if you are not all inclusive or BB the prices are very reasonable breakfast is 4 euro, and evening meal is 6.5 euro, the bar price are also reasonable all in all we enjoyed our stay and I wood go back again.
"Excellent staff, great location, excellent food. "
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking at going to fuertuventura. The staff were excellent from the waiters and waitresses to the animation and activities team. The staff were attentive and got to know your preferences and likes so over the 10 days they knew what you would like and provided this for you without asking. The animation staff (activities) were vibrant and tried to involve everyone, regardless of age. The entertainment in the evening was ok but you could tell the staff and put as much effort in as they could.
I have been to all inclusive hotels before and you can normally tell they do not put much effort into the food. This is not the case at this hotel. The food quality was excellent and they offered wide variety of food all at a high quality. For the value of the price combined with the excellent food service I would highly recommend this hotel.
The room was good. The bed was perfect and was a Super king which was a great size to have in a warm country, The room was kept clean throughout our stay but the coffee and tea were not replaced at all during our stay. The fact it was all inclusive meant this wasn't a huge issue but it would have been nice.
The one downside was that there was no air con in the room. For us this didn't make too much of a difference as it was January and with the balcony door open it cooled the room. This might be a slight issue in summer.
Overall we had an excellent stay.
We only booked our trip two weeks before coming, and considering the price - we were thrilled with the trip. Arrived home yesterday tanned, relaxed and happy. The staff here are amazing, nothing is too much, everyone is so friendly and helpful. There was always something for us at breakfast/dinner to choose from, and always warm and delicious. Room was huge, beds super comfy (room 135) we had our own private terrace which was a perfect little sun trap in the late afternoon. Loved the walk into the next town along the coastal path with the wild chipmunks. Pool was great, never a problem getting a sunbed. Will definitely be going back same time next year. No complaints at all, best £250 each we've ever paid!
Pocket Guide: Fuerteventura Caleta de Fuste Hotels
Popular Caleta de Fuste provides a home-from-home for north European visitors. The beach, like the neat and tidy resort, is man-made and provides a safe, family-friendly environment around a shallow bay. The port is a focus of activity with an aquarium set into the actual harbour, and is the departure point for dolphin-watching excursions. There is also a championship golf course within the resort.
