A great home base for our stay in Cala Galdana. A short walk to the beach, several restaurant options, grocery stores, hiking trails, and more. Lots of space, clean and safe property, and very friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The hotel location is amazing, close to the main beaches and full of local restaurants around. The breakfast was very good! The room was big and comfortable. The only downside of the hotel is not having a very helpful staff. They were friendly and kind, but didn’t help with information about how to get to some beaches. Me and my friends lost some precious time of the trip because we were told to go to Cala Turqueta by bus, from Ciutadella. We got there and found out that the bus ticket had to be bough in advance. We lost 1h30 of that sunny day just because we were not given the correct information. So don’t expect to get information from the hotel. Also don’t expect to get any help to carry your luggage up the stairs to your room. There were a lot of stairs, especially if your room is on the last floor. Apart from that, the experience was good and we would come back!

Beautiful property and spacious facility. Large rooms, and extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Only downfall was the large number of tiny ants in our room. Staff tried to get rid of them, but they didn't seem to be able to.

A decent option
Overall I found this hotel decent. The room was very clean and the terrace large. The room had a fridge, hot plates, and microwave. The area is very busy and seems to be largely British tourist dominated. Also, the hotel is up a fairly large hill from the beach area. 2 big downsides- the evening entertainment takes place directly facing many of the terraces, and in my opinion was terribly disruptive. It’s far too loud, nobody is watching, and totally ruins what’s otherwise a tranquil environment. The breakfast was disappointing, and other guests were repeatedly touching buffet items with their hands - which the hotel can’t control but was gross nonetheless.

Great stay, super recommended!
Hotel is very well located in Cala Galdana. The room was actually an apartment, with all the kitchen elements to cook if needed and a great balcony. We combined our beach holidays with a cycling bootcamp, and the hotel was perfect for bike storage and washing/drying clothes from one day to the other. Would recommend to anyone, specially for families with small children.

Had a great stay at here. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean but the beds were quite uncomfortable and only have minimal kitchen equipment but it’s enough for basic meals. The hotel location is great - just a short walk from the beach and local super markets. We really enjoyed our visit.

Property was ok .. no frills to be honest ... staff and faculties were good ... be aware though the rooms at least the one we were (138) was very poorly equipped ie had to use a pan to boil water for a brew no chopping boards etc

Contemporary reasonably priced hotel in a simply t
An extremely clean contemporary hotel in the most beautiful coastal town. Cala Galdana is stunning. The hotel is set back a short walk down hill to the lovely beach, resturants and shops. The pool is super and great for kids. Downsides- music a bit loud and not to everyones taste at poolside. Dinner is served from 8.30pm and the rooms could do with a little colour - pictures, decor. Small sea view from poolside and more of a view further up in the complex. It is small enough to get around quickly and quiet if based furrher back. Reasonable price in quite an expensive town.

Good value
Overall staff is friendly and nice, waiters are really kind. We enjoyed our stay. Location is perfect, easy to reach, enough parking space. Room is renovated, but we HATED the double bed, as it was just two single beds put together and they were always moving, leaving a hole in the middle. We stayed for a week, our sheets have not been replaced. It is quite clean, the swimming pool and around it could be cleaner. We think it's a good value for money.

Basic but clean apartments
Initially put into room 104, which is ground floor and balcony facing a wall. We complained about it and the lack of a kettle, and were then transferred to a room overlooking the pool on the 3rd floor, and when we got there a kettle had been put in the room too. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were basic, with very few utensils, glasses etc, but were clean and adequate. Cala Galdana as a place itself is beautiful

Great value in Cala Galdana
Wonderful setting overlooking Cala Galdana, recently renovated, clean and comfortable for a very good price. Not a high end hotel (basic functional furniture and decoration) but the rooms are very large, all of them with kitchenette living room and a private terrace. Very nice pool area and varied breakfast buffet. Free private parking on hotel grounds although in high season it’s usually full, parking nearby is not hard though.

Best priced accommodation in Area
Clean and spacious apartment, very quiet, we were on ground floor and found its lovely. Great pool area. Staff so friendly and helpful, very accommodating, we had friends staying locally and the hotel had no problem with them visiting and using the facilities, really made them welcome Well stocked local supermarkets and restaurants just down Rd for ur self catering needs, really recommended

Good place for a family stay...
Hotel overall was great, parking is a hit or miss given the lack of and how close everyone parks to each other - plus it’s a tight space to get in or out of. The property is nice and clean, family oriented and the breakfast buffet is a nice touch. Supermercat is walking distance for groceries as well as a nearby restaurant, walk further more down the hill and you can eat at the local restaurants near the pier.

Very nice - avoid half board
Very nice hotel, cala galdana very picturesque. Hotel on top of steep hill so consider other locations if anyone has mobility issues. Restaurant is more of a canteen, food average. Go for breakfast only, loads of nice places to eat in town. Parking ok if you rent car. Would return

OK hotel but lacking in certain areas
We had half board but you were not allowed any water with the evening meal unless they charged your room and the waiters were very quick to get you to sign for this. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and is more like a canteen. The entertainment is non exhistent or pathetic. Ice-cream at 4 euros each is extortionate so no good if you have kids.

No Complaints
We went as a couple, who hate kids, to a family hotel. Low expectations led to a pleasing experience at the Ilunion. Staff were friendly, rooms were really clean, the pool was clean and there was a nice vibe about the hotel. Yes, breakfast was a bit crap as to be expected. The activities for kids and adults were naf, but we didn't go for that, so whatevs. For the price, I think this place was alright actually.

Our 4th time at this hotel. Love the improvements. Staff very friendly and helpful from reception to pool and cleaning staff. Would of liked to be able to access BBC World News on the TV. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and we loved the large bath sheets. We will certainly be back yet again.

Menorca last minute
I had to find alternate accommodations last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances. Thank goodness ilunion was available. Such a relaxed setting with great breakfast!! The staff at the front desk made some great recommendations on beaches to go too. Menorca is a special place and staying here made it that much better!!

Nice little place
Yes,it's a nice place,nice and quite, was on b&b and the breakfast is ok enough to choose from, not exceptional but ok.Room spacious and clean.Staff helpful and friendly,entertainment was basic but watchable and shut down at 11pm.Nice 10min walk down hill to beech.I booked late and felt I paid a little bit over for a 3 star hotel,but that's my choice.But overall a nice place and I would go again

Close to beach, modern clean hotel
Hotel was clean and modern, was a walk up a hill from the beach but only took 5 mins. Breakfast is amazing so much to choose from. My only 'complaint' is the wifi wouldn't work in our room And maybe could have more sun loungers round the pool.

Pleasant stay
Nice clean rooms, separate bedroom for us and a sofa bed in the main space for the kids. Kitchen area a bit small but sufficient (we ate in a couple of evenings and it was fine. Pool area really nice and had a baby pool, which was great for our youngest, adjoined to the main pool which meant our eldest sight. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby were all good (special mention to Sa Lluna restaurant for excellent food and really friendly staff). 10 minute walk to the beach, 15 back as the hotal is at the top of the hill. Overall a really enjoyable stay.

Last minute escape
The Ilunion Hotel was really just what we expected, some reviews are a bit harsh. It is at the top of a hill but not that bad and does walk off the holiday calories! It is a little bit 'shabby chic' needs just a little bit of tlc but doesn't really affect your stay. The bathroom, living room and bedroom were all a good size, clean and had everything we needed, beds very comfy and the shower was great loads of hot water and really powerful, and rooms cleaned and tidied for us every day. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts were fab.....really not to be missed and also served from 8.00 to 11.00 so a nice long time slot. The pool was really nice with a few large 4 posters sun beds along with the normal loungers and parasols, never a problem getting one. Car parking onsite and managed to get a spot on arrival in the afternoon.A very useful recycling box in the main reception for parasols,mats,buckets,spades, etc so you can leave yours at the end of your holiday or borrow some for the day (what a good idea). All in all a really fabulous stay and we will definitely be back.

We LOVE the Illunion, it's clean, quiet
The staff are friendly, the food for breakfast is awesome. As all the Brits will tell you, dinner at 8:30pm is late, especially if you have small children. However, they cater mainly for a European crowd who clearly eat later. So it's a case of Brits we need to get over it. The staff in the kids club worked incredibly hard to keep our son entertained and he loved the mini disco. Thanks to all for helping create a wonderful family holiday

Nice hotel but evening entertainment was poor, mainly because of lack of participants. Cala Galdana beach is superb. You can also walk to Cala Macarella and Cala Midjana beaches. It's a 30-40 min walk to get to either of them but it's worth it. It was our second holiday in Menorca and we probably will go there again but choose a different hotel.

Best Aparthotel we've visited.
I have to say that Hotel Illunion was one of the best aparthotels that we have ever stayed in. Well put together, clean, everything worked (even had plugs in both kitchen and bathroom sinks and the bath!). Staff were great. The pool was sparkling and spotless (maybe could ave done with a couple more umbrellas and some pads on the sun-loungers - bit hard to relax on!). Evening entertainment not really to our taste, but hey, we don't do that sort of thing anyway. Other guests were loving it. Breakfasts were very good - lots of fruit, cereals, breads and preserves, and a cooked selection as well. One tiny criticism - the coffee comes from a machine and each selection type seemed to come with some sort of milk product with added sweetener or vanilla stuff in it. A good straightforward pot of coffee with plain milk would have sufficed for us. Otherwise - all excellent. We'd go there again if visiting Menorca - definitely.

A lovely hotel, not to far from the stunning beach
We had a four day break at the ILUNION hotel and loved it there. The staff are friendly and always on hand to help. It is our second time there and would defiantly go back again.

Worth every penny!
Great hotel with really friendly staff. We stayed for a week and I have to say this was an amazing stay. Close to shops and restaurants. They serve delicious food, too.

Good location
Hotel was located in a nice area and 15 mins walk to beach, although it is at the top of a fairly steep hill. Although the room was clean, the furniture was a bit tired - damage to chest of drawers - corner broken off etc and battered front door, but otherwise very comfortable. Breakfast was ok, with quite a good selection.

Clean, comfortable hotel
We stayed in a Premium Apartment for one week. The hotel has all facilities required and cleanliness of hotel was impeccable. We did not use the pool or restaurant but always looked clean and inviting. Beds very comfortable. I would recommend the upgrade to a Premium Apartment as they are brand new and well worth the extra for a comfortable relaxed stay. Travelled as a couple. Would be ideal also for young family.

Surprised and pleased
Having to visit the island urgently for a family emergency, we could not get into the hotel we always use and this was the only option at less than £1,000 for three nights! We found it clean, very comfortable with a more than adequate buffet breakfast. Although only a three star, the hotel pool looked excellent and there were plenty of games available for younger people.
