We enjoyed our stay. The location was wonderful. Our room was on 6th floor and had terrific views. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower is over the bath which isn’t ideal and the lighting in the bathroom is pretty ordinary however all in all we would stay again and would recommend to others.

Great position of property. Good view. Very expensive for an appartment which is serviced by yourself! No housekeeping for the first week. No Pay tv availability which we found annoying. Property is a bit dated.

Great central location on the esplanade with easy access to everything. Slight downside is minor noise and extractor fans from adjacent food courts and park maintenance but thats the price of proximity to the heart of Cairns and doesn't seriously detract.

Still love the location
This is our second stay and we were again on the 6th Floor. Our balcony overlooks the lagoon on the Esplanade and the wheel. The apartment is close to lots of great restaurants, and very central to downtown Cairns and the marina. The bed is comfy and the kitchen appeared reasonably complete with pans and crockery etc.

Excellent location close to all the action. View fantastic from ocean view apartment. Noise from ferris wheel operation and helicopter during operating times - but all the hotels on esplanade in this area have this so its not a big deal - but good to know in advance- direct flat access to esplanade

The location was very good but the apartment was tired and needed maintenance. The apartment was supposed to be ocean view but could only see a small amount of water. There was no dishwasher or clothes dryer. I had a 10 night stay and so little things were annoying like only a few satchels of dish washing and clothes washing detergents being provided as part of a welcoming pack. Soap at bathroom hand basin but not in shower recess so had to buy soap etc. At the cost per night that I paid these little things should have been provided.

Everything We Wanted
Our one-bedroom unit with ocean views at Breakfree Royal Harbour ticked all our boxes. The property is managed by ACCOR so members get ACCOR privileges, free wifi etc. but as the units are individually owned, each unit may not have the same amenities. Our unit had everything we needed, bedroom, living area, kitchen, bathroom with huge shower, washing machine and clothes line discreetly installed on balcony. The balcony overlooked the leafy Cairns esplanade and the harbour. Aircon worked well. Situation perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, aquarium, museum and public buses. Slightly longer walk to casinos and marina. Outdoor parking is free but spaces are limited. Reception hours are 8am-6pm and staff are very friendly and helpful. Service is weekly but extra towels, coffee etc. are available from reception. Breakfree had everything we wanted, but because there is no restaurant nor 24-hour reception it doesn't make the five star category.

There is nothing that I didn't like about the place. It was very close to amenities and the staff were excellent as they were very friendly and helpful. It was a very secure place to stay and the room was very spacious.

Disappointed that the ocean view apartment was not what they show on their webpage. We got a back/end of building room with limited views. I asked to move to the front of the building but was told it is the luck of the draw as to what room you are given even though I requested the front view when booking. Oh and the pub next door has a techno afternoon (until 9pm) every Monday, loud is an understatement 😡

This was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and spacious for 2 of us. The BBQ outside was really useful, and we were able to prepare a meal for ourselves rather than eat out every night. The position is right on the front and everywhere is walkable.

Staff Absolutely Lovely Specially the gent at the front Reception Counter an asset to this company. - Also View Amazing and lovely well maintained pool, Also small gym was sufficient to work up a sweat. A little disappointing that additional towels were not freely avail during the week, as it rained all week and they constantly had a damp smell as they wouldn't dry on the line. Room old & definately needs a revamp but was comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay & so very close to Markets in Centre of City was a real bonus. Parking on site always had spaces available.
