Host were very helpful and quick to answer all our questions prior to booking. Having the ramp and safety grab bars in bathrooms were well appreciated amenities for disabled guest. "

"This is the first time I’ve ever had to leave a negative review. I was so excited for a moms-and-sons getaway with my lifelong best friend and our adult sons. Sadly, our trip was overshadowed by Vacasa’s poor handling. I tried speaking with Vacasa multiple times before leaving this review. They decided to close my case and not do what was right. I was denied access to the gated community upon arrival, even though I received early check-in approval and was told everything was complete. We waited 45 minutes at the gate—embarrassing and frustrating—until they finally let us in.Inside the cabin, we found roaches, ants, spider webs, and live spiders in the bedding. No one ever came to fix it despite Vacasa saying someone would. We had to clean it ourselves. We also couldn’t use the washer due to a posted sign. I informed them of the condition and was told someone would help with the bugs and they never came. So, we (my company and myself cleaned the interior and exterior ourselves) They’re now claiming I didn’t submit a form, but I have proof everything was completed. You don’t tell someone they can check in sooner, give them the access code to the door if they didn’t complete a form. I honestly feel bad for the homeowner, who is likely unaware of how poorly their property is being managed.On a positive note - the view is amazing and when clean the cabin is peaceful and enjoyable. "We had a great time in Big Canoe. Plenty to do for everyone. The property was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 children. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after long days of exploring, hiking, fishing, and boating. The Mountain views from this property are spectacular! The home is lovely and well cared for. The Big Canoe community is impressive. We would definitely stay again! Thank you for a wonderful summer vacation!"
