Lovely stay.

Great location, nice staff, very clean.
We felt the hotel was very clean, the staff was nice, the breakfast was alright. The location was excellent! Your in the heart of downtown by the train station and bus station. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Easy access from train station. Simple, clean room. Excellent breakfast with very friendly staff. Only stayed one night but would definitely stay again! Great value for solo travel.

Well located hotel near central train station, lots of restaurants nearby. Our only complaint is we searched for a hotel with the filter of hotel parking and they do not provide - even though it says they do. We had to pay for street parking.

Very well situated in the old town and ideal for exploring. Dark, rather cramped bedroom, and limited facilities in the hotel. Not overly friendly.

We stayed three nights in Hotel Italia and thoroughly enjoyed the service and talking with the staff. Our room was clean and very comfortable and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. As we were travelling by train and bus it was great to stay at hotel in the centre close to the waterfront. We returned to Hotel Italia at the end of our travels in Sardinia for one night before heading home to Canada.

Bel posto buona location ma l’albergo è un po’ datato... il bagno non aveva un ventilatore o una finestra e c’era un odore forte di acido...l’aria condizionata non funzionava bene quindi abbiamo patito un po’ per questo

Quirky, not fabulous
Pre war building, sliced up into a few quirky rooms, and an oddly shaped, cluttered common area. High decorated ceilings. Weirdly, there was no ceiling in my bathroom, so it was open air to the common area.

Parking for motorcycle was a bonus although not a big parking space. Easy to miss out on a park if 3 or 4 motorcycles are already in the parking area.

We arrived early on August 15, obviously, the hotel was full because of the holiday. They were kind enough to take our luggage and tell us to come back at the check-in time. When we checked in later we were provided the keys to the room and told directions to the elevator, but we were not provided any information regarding breakfast or other hotel amenities. Note to all, not all rooms have the balcony. It may have been my mistake that I did not read this when booking so I was a bit disappointed when we didn't get a balcony. Our room was relatively clean except for stains on the walls and ceiling. We got one of the older rooms in the hotel. The bed was comfy but the comforter and curtains need a change! Just removing the comforter made the room look a whole lot different. We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and we were a little disappointed by the breakfast. Every morning the same exact thing was offered. We did not even know we could order other breakfast things for an additional cost until the last day when a placemat with all the information was put out. Another let down was some of the staff at the reception desk. I must give them credit, they were all very kind and attentive. They even went the extra mile to remember us and give us our key as soon as we walked up to the desk. However, when we asked about ironing the first day we were told the additional cost. The last day a kind lady told us that we could go up and iron ourselves in the morning free of charge.

The location is excellent, 15 minutes on the train from the airport and 5 minutes for any public transport. Hotel is basic but has all that is required for sightseeing in Cagliari, I would stay at Hotel Italia again.
